For 6 months I have been going to the Desert Botanical Garden regularly. Now I want to share pictures of pieces in Chihuly in the Desert that I have taken at different times of day, through different seasons and light.

To me this sculpture was not very photographic and my least favorite in the garden. I went recently when the light was harsher (I like to shoot in soft light) and I really enjoy it!
I was able to get some great close ups too

If you remember my post Art Talk: Chihuly on Paper you know that Chihuly draws and paints his pieces too. Here is the Red Reeds painting that is in the gallery at the garden.
These red reeds look like fire at times.

There are also Red Reeds at Taliesin West, in North Scottsdale, which showing at the same time.

Simple yet very interesting.

This one does look very different than the other curly/wavy ones. I prefer soft light too. Nice tee with that aperture on it! :)
