The picture shows a huge marble gypsum quarry in the eastern part of the island of Crete, Greece. Unfortunately, I couldn't find its name on the Internet... It's called Altsi, thanks to @fotostef, who lives nearby. :)
If you open the photo in full size, you will see a tiny excavator in the middle of the image.
I like to take pictures of quarries; their size is astounding.

seeing a nice rocky quarry, never got to see a marble
one tho, visited a few limestone ones in Germany
