Hi there,
Surprisingly my buddy Flavien had never explore this quarry, even if he lives only a couple of miles away from it. Location was unreachable during years because it was closed. We heard it was reopened last winter but we chose to wait to visit it because of the bats : they hibernate in quarries and you can kill them if you wake them up during this period.
There were a lot of changes since my last visit in...january 2018! First of all we had to find a new way to enter it as the former access were closed. It took us a couple of hours. And then, we got a bit lost when we entered because the first galleries have been blocked. But, step by step, I found my bearings and we started the exploration.
We made a first stop in an area I like to make a one-hour photoshooting session. Here's one of the pictures I took :
After that, we packed our gear and made a 3-hours walk trip in this incredible part of the quarry. Unfortunately, the best part wasn't reachable at all, despite our many efforts to enter.

Lightpainting is a photographic technique in which exposures are made by moving a hand-held light source while taking a long exposure photograph, either to illuminate a subject or to shine a point of light directly at the camera, or by moving the camera itself during exposure. Nothing is added or removed in post processing.

Beautiful holographic-looking creation.
Thanks! It's always cool when people can see a picture with a tri-dimensional perception. It helps to appreciate the beauty of locations like this gem.
