One cool feature about Zurich was the presence of water fountains all over the city with clean drinking water. Usually, these are just for decoration, but here they all provide fresh and clean water despite their old appearances.
As if that wasn't cool enough, there's a tradition where all of the flower shops pour the heads of the flowers into the nearby fountain. Since all of these shops are closed on Sundays anyways like all other Swiss shops by law, these flowers would likely be dead by Monday anyways. So may as well help add some pleasant decoration to the town!
And, of course, that also allowed for some nice pictures! Looking through my album yesterday for my post summarizing my weekend in Zurich, I had plenty of goodies to pick from, almost too much! But I figured that this picture deserved its own post 😊.
Anyways, here it is in the most beautiful street in the city:
Looks great. I love roses. There is a very beautiful tradition in my country. When the boyfriend comes to meet his girlfriend's family, he always buys flowers, and most of the time it's red roses. I bought yellow roses from my husband
This is pure beauty.
It is a poem in prose, which recreates the sight with such beautiful polychromy. Very pretty.
