Hello, dear community! 🌿
Today I would like to show you an image that I also took in Baracoa Beach, which captures the beauty and relevance of one of our natural treasures: Avicennia Germinans, commonly known as white mangrove, prieto mangrove or black mangrove.
This tree belongs to the Acanthaceae family and plays an essential role in the mangrove ecosystem, acting as a protective shield against tides and providing refuge to various terrestrial and aquatic species.
It is often called "black mangrove" due to the color of your trunk.
In this image, you can see the greatness of the black mangrove, an emblem of resistance and life in balance with the ocean.
I hope that when you observe this image, we can all remember the relevance of protecting and conserving our coastal ecosystems.
Enjoy this natural beauty! 🌊🌱

"The cooking of the cortex is used against hemorrhoids, wounds and diarrhea."
"The cooked seeds are edible but when they are raw they are poisonous."
"It helps to reduce the effects of hurricanes and tsunamotes."
