Nature and man, enemies and friends, depending on the time, place and overall situation. Nature can live without man, but man cannot without nature. It is therefore imperative that we take care of our surroundings and respect all of plant kind. When we need shelter, nature is not necessarily in our way. Instead we can think of ways to incorporate vegetation into our own design, ensuring a healthy symbiosis. This image is a perfect example of this concept. Roots continue on living, while man creates a home. Forever in harmony with one another.
This picture was taken with a OnePlus 8T and was not manually edited by me. What the camera software on smartphones does nowadays is another point. I took it while at a nature park in Commewijne, Suriname. This nature park used to be an old cacao and coffee plantation. Follow @tanjakolader's blog for a post about that soon.

The shed itself was not a protected area though. Was built far after the plantation.
