As I walked my best friend this morning through some blistery snow and wind, I thought about how fortunate we were to have her as part of her family. I wrote a bit about Mabel a bit ago, so I won't retread on the past. Yet I thought about how loving of a dog she was as we braved the elements this morning to get her two poops out. Poor Ms. Mabes...not a winter dog whatsoever.

I agree! She's a sweet heart, and she is very protective of our family...she's a pest, but we do all love her.

I had to pick my friend's lurcher up this afternoon. Apparently, he'd only walked a few yards all day, before wanting to return home. He hates the cold. I had to pick him up to take him elsewhere just to get him out. He loves my car. My friend stopped at home in front of the fire. 🔥 😀 I'm not sure who's the daftest.

Ms Mabes is a lover...I've never had a dog who is such a lover before. I can't imagine the type of life she had before we brought her into the family. Now, if we could move to Florida, things would be a-ok outside for her all year round!
