Nature, in all its powerful beauty, finds its artistry, makes our jaws drop, and manages to balance strength and grace with a sun and monsoon of colours that rivals a thousand painters. My own experience was the moment I stood on a boat with nothing but sea, sun, moon, and sky. It was something that even words cannot describe—a work of art designed by the Creator in front of my very own eyes.
The sunlight appeared to walk on water, igniting its surface and stretching as far as the eye could see in almost a golden arc. It was like the sea had been smooched by the sun, or maybe created its own energy that was somehow equally soothing and energizing.
Next came the evening scene, the sky transforming into saturated blues and purples. The moon rose gently over the skirt of the sea, pouring out silver light. The moon glimmered on the water, making it seem as though a pathway of light was beckoning me into the horizon. There was something magical about the scattered stars across the sky, making the view even more breathtaking.
I was suddenly filled with gratitude for nature’s beauty in that moment. The waves crashing in rhythm, the sea breeze, and the synergy of the sun, moon, and blue sky brought me very much alive. That we often forget about in our busy everyday lives—the street outside your door, the park you take your children to, is home to multitudes and cycles of life, its web more intertwined than you would imagine.
Every person should experience this at least once in their life. There’s something transcendent about being surrounded by nature’s splendour, letting it revitalise your spirit and uplift your heart. If you ever have the opportunity to live on the sea, with the sun, moon, and sky as your only union, do it—it’s a moment you’ll never forget.
