I'm finally going to talk a little bit about Blockchain Rio. So I had planned a trip to visit my family in Rio for a few months now, and a couple of weeks before going I found out about Blockchain Rio. I didn't know about it when I bought my air tickets, and I was arriving the day that the event was starting. I was also exited about it as Hive would have a stand at the event, and I would finally have a chance to meet other people from Hive in person.
It took me a while to write this post because I stayed in Brazil for another 2 weeks after the event with my family, and when I got back home, I needed a vacation from my vacations. I was super tired and took me a week to recover.
First of all, it was amazing to meet in person @xvlad, @vaipraonde, @starkerz, @disregardfiat, @jonsnow1983, @arlettemsalase, @vasconsa, @beaglexv, @boeltermc and a few others that I can't find their usernames now (sorry...). We talked a lot about Hive, SkateHive, Hive Apps and games, and the development of new apps and tools to help Hive grow. We also helped onboarding quite a few new users to our beloved blockchain, and even though not many signed up, a lot of people passed by, asked questions, and learned more about Hive. I think we were able to create some good awareness, people that never heard about it before, now knows about it. Maybe next time they hear about Hive, will make them think that they should join too.

Finalmente vou falar um pouco sobre a Blockchain Rio. Eu estava planejando uma viagem para visitar minha família no Rio há alguns meses e, algumas semanas antes da viagem, descobri sobre a Blockchain Rio. Eu não sabia sobre o evento quando comprei minhas passagens e estava chegando no dia em que o evento estava começando. Eu também fiquei animado, pois a Hive teria um estande no evento e eu finalmente teria a chance de conhecer pessoalmente outras pessoas da Hive.
Demorei um pouco para escrever este post porque fiquei no Brasil por mais duas semanas após o evento com minha família e, quando voltei para casa, precisava de férias das minhas férias. Fiquei muito cansado e levei uma semana pra me recuperar.
Antes de tudo, foi incrível conhecer pessoalmente @xvlad, @vaipraonde, @starkerz, @disregardfiat, @jonsnow1983, @arlettemsalase, @vasconsa, @beaglexv, @boeltermc e alguns outros que não consigo lembrar seus nomes de usuário agora (desculpe...). Falamos muito sobre a Hive, a SkateHive, os aplicativos e jogos da Hive e também conversamos sobre o desenvolvimento de novos aplicativos e ferramentas para ajudar o Hive a crescer. Também ajudamos a inscrever vários novos usuários à nossa amada blockchain e, embora poucos tenham se inscrito, muitas pessoas passaram por lá, fizeram perguntas e aprenderam mais sobre a Hive. Acho que conseguimos criar uma boa conscientização, as pessoas que nunca ouviram falar sobre a Hive antes, agora sabem. Talvez da próxima vez que ouvirem falar da Hive, elas pensem também de se inscrever.

Overall the event was super cool, and I learned about new products. It's very cool to see how many different types of businesses can benefit from blockchain technology, from real estate to investments and tokenization of commodities, there is still a lot to be explored. The event also had a space dedicated to NFT arts.
During the entire event there were 2 or 3 presentations going on at the same time in different stages, and in the second day we had a presentation about Hive, where @xvlad, @vaipraonde and @starkerz talked about Hive in one of the stages to a nice crowd. I think it was a great presentation.

De modo geral, o evento foi superlegal e aprendi sobre novos produtos. É muito legal ver quantos tipos diferentes de negócios podem se beneficiar da tecnologia blockchain, de imóveis a investimentos e tokenização de commodities, e ainda há muito a ser explorado. O evento também teve um espaço dedicado às artes NFT.
Durante todo o evento, havia duas ou três apresentações acontecendo ao mesmo tempo em diferentes palcos e, no segundo dia, tivemos uma apresentação sobre a Hive, em que @xvlad, @vaipraonde e @starkerz falaram sobre a Hive em um dos palcos para um bom público. Acho que foi uma ótima apresentação.

At the end of the event, we went out for some beers with a bunch of people at Baixo Gavea, a very busy area in Rio where locals usually go to drink beer and of course we talked a lot about Hive and blockchain technology.
Lots of fun! I wish I could go to Hive Fest and meet more people, but it's a bit far for me now. Maybe next year if it comes back to my side of the world.

No final do evento, saímos para tomar algumas cervejas com um grupo de pessoas no Baixo Gávea, uma área muito movimentada do Rio onde os locais costumam ir para beber cerveja e, claro, conversamos muito sobre a Hive e blockchain.
Foi muito divertido! Eu gostaria de poder ir ao Hive Fest para conhecer mais pessoas, mas é um pouco longe para mim agora. Talvez no próximo ano, se ele voltar para o meu lado do mundo.
