No fancy sunset from some March evening, more of an average sky on an average evening.... ending quite a pleasant kind of day. You know those. More to keep to the Sunday theme of #goldenhourphotography...
And I was testing out my 50mm lens. I realised I can take quite sharp shots even from a good distance. Handheld, mind you... Bear in mind those buildings forming the Kuala Lumpur (KL) skyline are about 10 to 15 km away.
Eye or rather lens on the Petronas Twin Towers (blocked partially by a nearby telecom tower - drat them all!) and the KL Tower, both lighting up at twilight
Menara 188 due to be completed soon, and The Exchange 106 - I like those pin prick lights at the top; my objective every time I shoot that is to get them as clear as possible... - and a nearby mosque minaret on extreme left
Altogether now... the entire row of skyline buildings or should I say, skyscrapers. I like how the silhouettes are complemented by clouds just as black!
Same scene, about 5 mins later...
A nearby apartment block ~ the sunset radiance reflected off the windows caught my attention
One final scene for the evening...

A bonus parting shot.... but that's from April...
Nowadays I more and more often wish that I would have a good camera with a good lens.
You did a wonderful job with the SOny A5100 camera, and with the Sony E 50mm f1.8 OSS lens.
Of course this kind of equipment cost much more than my current smartphone (Samsung Galaxy A12).
Have a nice day and have a nice weekend.
All the best. Greetings and much love from Hungary.
Awww, thank you, @xplosive! I am quite happy with my Sony... I managed to save up for that and the lens - put much thought into buying both (separately), and when they were on promotion (much cheaper!). Don't fret about your smartphone - many good shots are taken with modern day smartphones too.
A good day and great week ahead to you too! 🙏🏼
A very beautiful portrait of the Kuala Lumpur skyline. Thanks for sharing with us @ackhoo.. very cool! 😊
Thank you, @kucibak-macro! Glad you enjoyed them... :)
You're welcome @ackhoo
Really like the building. At first it caught my eye and thought it was just lights, then looked closer and saw the varied color from the sunset. Very nice catch!
Haha... glad you caught that! Thank you!! :)
It looked even more impressive first hand; the surprise brilliance against the darkening sky was totally eye-catching!
