About yesterday....
Adventure in a canoe to the small Island opposite of the village of Olympiada where I live for the last 3.5 years.
I discussed many times with a friend that we should do this trip, but we know how it goes, life gets busy. Then my friend got heavy corona and then my dog got sick.
Yesterday we made the plan, we prepared the canoe and took off, around 11.00 in the morning.
It was so long ago for me that I went in any canoe, luckily my friend is experienced and motivated me to go on…
The name of the island is Kavkanas, one way is 2,5 km so we made 5 km in total.
The island can be seen from many places, it is always somewhere around;
-During our walks in the mountains
-Besides the beach and
-When we do the historical walks in Agient stageira
During the tour, my friend told me about the myth about this island.
In the time of Alexander the Great, there were many different myths. I have heard about them but nobody is sure about what exactly has happened.

There we were a moment alone with mother earth on the island. So beautiful and peaceful. What an amazing and beautiful place! No humans, no trash, only us, the bees & the trees, the sand and sea!
Until a boat loaded with tourist arrived…. Bye bye peace…
We went for a snorkeling tour beside the rocks.
Beautiful nature in the sea, we forgot the underwater camera! Too bad… A good reason to come back again.
After we went back, my shoulders started to feel heavy, but had to keep going.
The sea is calm and beautiful, silence… The waves helped us a little in the right direction.
I enjoyed it so much, it made the muscle pain worth it after all – also to hang out with my friend who was great and strong company.
Back at the beach at home, we jumped in the sea!
A neighbor crossed out path with plates full with food! How lucky can we be!
We had a great afternoon, before 14.00 we were back. After that the sea changed and the waves got bigger.
A perfect afternoon and great adventure by the canoe.
Now a little muscle pain. But I will be fine.

Looks like you had a great trip. Lovely photos. I can imagine that you had some muscle pain. I do not think I could canoe 2.5 km one way. That is a lot. It certainly was worth the effort though.
If you have someone with you who is experienced you could for sure! Maybe once we will make the tour happen :)

Loved the color of the sky when you captured the sunset. I bet it's a thousand times beautiful with the naked eye.

Exercising the muscles usually helps to "clear the head" :-). And when it's in a nice natural environment, the "cleansing of the head" is perfect :-D
