Amazing Nature Contest - August 2020 - #04. On the river

Thunder was heard somewhere nearby. Rare drops of rain fell. The fish ignored my hook. She does not like this weather. But that didn't matter.
I was on my native river, which I remember from childhood. Once there was a water mill. Now in its place are several old piles sticking out of the water. As a child, it was a favorite fishing spot. It is still beloved.

Где-то рядом был слышен гром. Срывались редкие капли дождя. Рыба игнорировала мой крючок. Не любит она такой погоды. Но это было не важно.
Я находился на родной реке, которую помню с детства. Когда-то тут стояла водяная мельница. Теперь на её месте торчит несколько старых свай из воды. В детстве это было любимое место рыбалки. Оно и сейчас любимое.

It was noticeably getting dark. Twilight comes quickly in August. Moreover, the sky was in low clouds.

Заметно вечерело. В августе сумерки приходят быстро. Тем более небо было в низких тучах.

I will not say that the water was warm, there are many small springs at the bottom of the river. But I go barefoot all day and my feet are used to it. That evening I did not catch a single fish, but I enjoyed the river itself.

Не скажу, что вода была тёплой, на дне реки много небольших родников. Но я хожу босиком целыми днями и ноги уже привыкли. В этот вечер я так и не поймал ни одной рыбки, но получил удовольствие от самой реки.
