📌2024 First Trip: DISCOVERING THE BEAUTY OF LANGIT-LANGIT FALLS 💙💚

It's my first trip for the year 2024 to visit a tourist spot in the Land of Northern Mindanao. Let me show and share with you the beauty and amazing view of the Foggy Mountain 🏞, Heavenly Falls 🍃, and the Salag🪹 Tourist Spot📌

Every year I just get home once a year to our town. My cousin's and I were planning to visit beautiful scenery for the first time on New Year's Day. A tourist spot was visited by some of our relatives, and we are from the far place that we currently live in, so we also want to visit it. One of our tourist spot lists is the "Salag"🪹.

The one we chose to go to is the Salag🪹 (Nest). This is where a lot of tourists have been there. The beauty of this place on top of the mountain must also be seen and experienced. The place was wonderful, as they say, and it's been so wonderful!

Trip to Salag🪹

From the highway, it takes thirty minutes to reach the Salag (Nest). You can rent a Bao-Bao (Three Wheeler) for your service if you don't have a car or motorcycle. There's no public service waiting for passengers in Salag, which means you can't get back on the highway.

Because there were only five seats, and we had just five of us, the Bao-Bao was perfect for us. Bao-Bao's a comfortable vehicle, and it's capable of going to the mountains.

We've also been lucky, and when we visited the road had already been paved.

Fortunately, this road is paved and not slippery because of the mud. It's cold here, and it doesn't get that hot when the sun is out. Whenever it rains especially in the afternoon, it is dangerous for those who travel because of the fog that descends especially on the road and there are no streetlights in this area only the light of your car. In case of damage, there are just a few houses in case someone needs help. But in this area, it has also a cellular phone signal.

I've been looking around while I've been on the road, and that's what I've seen:

The road leads to the location of Salag, but it's not paved.

There was a part of the road to Salag that was muddy, and we had to get off so that the Bao Bao driver wouldn't have too much trouble passing it. We got on again when he got past the muddy part.

As I looked at the clouds, they were so beautiful, so thick and so soft in my eyes of what I saw. There's a sun, but I can feel the cold.

We'll be in our destination area just a few minutes from now. I'm looking at the fog that I think is just around that area.

We arrived at Salag in twenty-nine minutes, according to my recorded time.😊

There's no parking fee for all the tourist cars parked here.

Finally, we're at the Salag.

Entrance Fee:
For kids Ten years old below the entrance fee is Fifteen pesos (₱15.00) only.
For Eleven years old above and for adults the entrance fee is thirty pesos (₱30.00) only.

The Open Hours is 6:00 in the morning until 6:00 in the afternoon.

For the Reminders:

It is forbidden to bring drinks from outside.
No smoking.
Do not take or pick flowers.
and No overnight stay.

Picking Guava

We saw a guava tree as soon as we got here, a lot of guava trees, and every tree had a lot of fruit. We've been asking the caretaker if we can ask her for guavas, and she says yes, so it's free. We've been enjoying ourselves, taking as much guava as we can eat. We put the guavas we got in our pockets and our driver ate guavas the same way.

While I spin and look around the garden, I'm happy to eat guavas sweet and delicious.

ROSE FLOWER

I really liked the rose back then, even though it was thorny. This was the first flower I approached and touched and smelled.

BLUE HYDRANGEA

I've noticed that there are more petals in the flower compared to its leaves. It occurred to me that it must be very beautiful if I could see a red hydrangea.

HAIRY BALLS OR BALOONPLANT

I've seen this plant for the first time, and it made me feel amazed. I immediately asked the care taker and he said they call it a flower ball. It's different, I thought it was a fruit that could be eaten. 😁

NARROWLEAF SUNFLOWER OR SWAMP SUNFLOWER

It's a flower that belongs to sunflower in color, shape and form. His body can handle it, even if there's lots of flowers. I saw that it did not fall and remained standing.

I've been seeing something like this, because we have a similar plant. There are different colors in this plant.

As for the tree, there's only a few flowers on it, and it's got a lot of colors.

I've seen a tree that is part of the fine tree. It isn't nice to touch it, but when the tree grows so much, it is a beautiful sight.

THE GARDEN

I like to walk in the garden in the mountains, especially when it's cold, because I see many plants and flowers that live in the cold environment. It would be better if I was close to this place, even if I go for a walk every time, because this place is so relaxing.

TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN

I'm feeling like I've reached the top of a mountain. It's amazing, what I'm seeing is so beautiful. It's quiet, and I'm breathing fresh air. My vision encircles the mountains, but only a few parts are clouded, what I see reaches the far end of the mountain. This feeling and opportunity can be experienced by all of you in the green mountains, clear, truly beautiful.

THE SALAG'S

You'll see the different shapes they created when you go to a Salag. You can sit and stand or what kind of post you want to make to take a picture with a Salag behind.

I'm in love with that shape, it looks like the sun. Very well made.

THE LANGIT-LANGIT FALLS (Heavenly Falls)

Langit Langit Falls is the name of this place, because they say it's near the sky. Langit Langit Falls is on the other side of Salag. The falls don't drop water very often, especially during the summer. Falls continue to drop water when it's raining.

Introducing the beautiful scenery, I've come across. I'm very fond of this magnificent view. I'd like to come back here soon for a long stay. The beauty of nature will never cease to exist. A wide mountain view and the falls that grab attention because of its beauty.

The Heaven Falls are one of the nice views to be seen in this area. To see and enjoy this view, Salag is the right place. It's where you should go for those who doubt going to the Heavenly Falls here at Salag. It's hard for other tourists to get to Heavenly Falls, it's not easy, and there's going to be a lot of struggles.

Maybe one day I will reach that place, even if it is difficult for me to get there and face all the hardships I will go through just to see Langit Langit Falls up close.

I wasn't the only one having a good time and enjoying our sightseeing. I've got cousins, nieces and myself. We're grateful to have come here until our next visit. Goodbye for now.
