This is my entry for the Amazing Nature Contest - September 2020 - #03
It is said that you will never see a snake looking for it. Snakes are animals that suddenly lie next to you on the roadside. This is exactly what happened to me on a short hike on the australian east coast.
It was near the Noosa Nationalpark in Queensland that we suddenly saw this little snake lying on a park bench in the sun. Luckily I had my camera with me and was able to take some nice pictures.
Another person told me that this snake was gleefully eating a little gecko a few minutes ago. Only a few minutes earlier and I would have had a photo that you don't see every day.
But even without the gecko, this photo is a good proof of how great our nature is.

Beautiful creauture :) You were lucky to capture these awesome shots.

Upvoted 👌 (Mana: 30/40) Liquid rewards.
Thanks man. I know, as said, if I would have a good clear shot of that snake with a gecko in his mouth it would be gold.
Thanks for the tipu tip ;)
It is so awesome how big of an animal snakes are able to eat in one piece !
It is. I saw it once in Indonesia, an even smaller tree snake ate a gecko. Pretty fascinating.
That actually almost looks cute that little snake but I am sure it's not :)
It does. It wasn´t aggressive or so, but I would not want to get bitten :)
These small thin trees snakes that feed on gecko have such amazing big round eyes, blends into nature swiftly. Nice photography taken on the day with or without the gecko lunch snack @beterthanhome
Thank you so much. True, its eyes are a bit like from a fish :)
