I did a post about 2-3 months ago about a little blue tongue that came to us, severely underweight for her age and I thought I'd do a little update for you all.
Background
Ailena came to us as a 2 year old Eastern blue tongue skink. She was severely undersized, had not eaten properly in over 12 months and had wounds on her tail from being housed with a larger, aggressive male.
She had been left behind at a lady's house by her ex boyfriend who decided he didn't want her anymore and she couldn't care for her.
When she first came in she weighed a measley 17 gms!! for scale our blue tongue who is about the same age weighs about 300...
above is a picture of Lizzy and Ailena, after a few months of care, as you can see she is still quite a bit smaller and probably always will be.
Current status.
Currently Ailena weighs 101 grams! she is eating like an absolute champ and comes running out of her hide for her food every morning. She has a brand new home made enclosure with a UV light (essential for bone development among other things) a heat light at the right temperature and everything else she needs. She no longer has to share her accommodation with another larger, scarier blue tongue and as such is much more defensive.
She is still smaller than she should be but she probably won't ever get to full size, she is however doing very well considering how she came in. Her tail wounds have healed up nicely and well a small section dropped off it shouldn't cause her any issues other than aesthetically.
She seems happy and doesn't mind coming out for a cuddle and a pat, Me and lydia tried to introduce her to Lizzy but neither one seemed interested in the other so I think her fear is reducing as well.
She now has a happy home with 2 people who care about her a lot. My mum put in a lot of the work when she first came as she is more experienced but now she is doing well she is living with us and happy as can be.
We will still keep a close eye on her to make sure no problems arise due to her stunted or delayed growth but we hope for the best :)

She's more defensive because she's not sharing an enclosure now? :O
Well before she was very timid and submissive but now she is more willing to defend herself. I think she sees it as "her" home now.
That sounds like a good thing then :)
