Crocodylus niloticus ssp. cowiei

in WE ARE MOVING3 years ago (edited)

On Sunday night, I give a photo of a crocodile from the Limpopo river.
I have no experience measuring crocodiles, but he could easily be 5 meters tall. In any case, he had to weigh several hundred kilos.
No, it's not since 1800 that such monsters were everywhere in Africa, but last December in Krugr National Park at Crooks Corner, which is the point where South Africa, Zimbabwe and Mozambique meet.
Great place, worth a longer article.
So you who live where the rivers are frozen and water turtles, you can smile and you who live where they still are, be careful as you do every day.
Today, however, there are very few such places.

What a remarkable world we live in, @birdwatcher! Crocodiles were granites divine status in ancient Egypt (where I am from) and continue to inspire awe and terror. Recently, learned the difference between them and alligators, on a forks trip in Florida — where they are prevalent.

Thank you, friend, for supporting my own nature photography (parrot post).

I wish you a rewarding week 🙏🏽✨
