Hello,
Hope you are having a nice Sunday!
I stopped by at Amazing Nature community again, this time with animal related post.
As most of you already know, animals are one of my favorite motives, if not the favorite. It is a special feeling taking wildlife photography as you have to actually hunt them, but not with rifle, but your camera. Still you have to respect their privacy as we are invading on their territory and these animals are wild and will protect themselves if they find endangered.
I have shared many photos from my African travels lately as still Africa is homeland of many animals and is most famous by their wildlife. Anyway all parts of the World offer amazing animals living in the wild. It was no different in Indonesia where I discovered amazing nature with amazing animals, especially on my first days of travel when I visited Northern Sumatra, place called Bukit Lawang. It is located on the edge of Gunung Leuser National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and with it offers amazing trekking experience. Everything in this community runs around the word amazing and I was amazed by the orangutans I met at this trekking. They were so close… Only when you are that close and without any fences between, then you can actually see these lovely animals in depth. They are really noble and so smart. I would also say they have kind look and would like to socialize with you.
I had an amazing time there and hope you will find these photos below as an amazing contribution to our community, dear nature lovers.
amazing pictures! I do wonder , do the orangutans actually let people get (at a distance ) close to them while they continue on with their normal life?
Thank you!
Yes, they actually come to you. They do the first step.
Probably they know humans already as these animals are very intelligent.
An amazing experience, but a little scary at first too...
Depth Of Emotions specially we can observe unknown innocence in their Eyes. Stay blessed.@crazy-andy, Eyes of these animals are reflecting

If I’m not mistaken, the Orangutan was my favorite photo of choice in one of your previous posts. I remember being fascinated by these amazing animals because of their human-like gestures, emotional states, and most especially their meditative poses! I could just imagine the huge smile on your face due to the wonderful privilege you experienced when you were up close and personal with them.
Hey might be that you choose orangutan photo as best in the past. I have shared a few already.
They are really amazing animals.
Monkeys in general are my favourite animals. One of my most wanted activities is gorilla trekking in Uganda & Rwanda. That has to be awesome! It is quite expensive, but hopefully one day...
I was really impressed meeting orangutans and yes, they really are so emotional. You can read from their eyes...

Thank you!
Fascinating shots of fascinating creatures. Unfortunately, orangutans are also one of the symbols of human cruelty and ruthlessness. Their population dwindled drastically over the past decades, mostly because of the infamous oil palm plantations...
Thank you Petr!
I don't know that much about current status of orangutans through the World, but believe in what you wrote. So sad...
Probably all of us are responsible, at least indirectly, for that horrible things we are doing with our amazing nature.

I have never seen orange orangutans
Hmmmm, but I can say that is their natural color. I don't know them any other color. Which color you thought they should be?
