Take me hiking please
Today is part 3 of 4 for my Red River Gorge series with @flowerbaby. You may have already seen Part 1 and Part 2. The third trail that we trekked is called Angel Windows. This is another out and back trail that is less than a mile long, much like the Princess Arch and Chimney Top trails.
To get to this trailhead, we drove deeper into the Daniel Boone National Forest surrounding Red River Gorge, Kentucky. The road was well paved, but it just barely qualified as a two-lane road. It was more of a 1½ lane track. This means I was unfortunately unable to race through it like I would have loved to do. We really never knew when we would stumble upon another car coming around a corner. I don't trust other drivers, some do not pay as close attention as I do. Others, well they just can't drive much at all. This means I had to be cautious and go slow throughout all of the forest.
No matter how low my speed was, I was still kicking up dirt and dust everywhere I went and so were other vehicles. This was by far the dirtiest that my Audi has ever been. It looked kind of cool, but I much prefer my ride be shiny and clean. Wait until Part 4 tomorrow for some photos of what the outside of my car was looking like. For now here is a teaser that shows you how bad my wheels where. Take into consideration that my VMR wheels are supposed to be a candy teal color.
This hike was pretty awesome overall. The views were not quite as majestic as those from the Chimney Top trail. We did however get to a big open part towards the end that made for a very peaceful scene. There were these giant rocks with water dripping down from them. There was even a bowl-shaped chair that made for a perfect seat. This was the only trail that had some mud along its path, but that didn't stop us from stomping through it. After all, @flowerbaby and I had on our matching Colombia hiking boots.

Enough of my rambling. Now you can actually get a look of what Angel Windows in Red River Gorge, KY is like. Here is your chance to view some more photos.
Thanks for checking out my blog 😎🤝
Tomorrow I will be finalizing my Red River Gorge series. I encourage you to come back and see the last entry tomorrow. I think that some of our best photographs were on the fourth trail. Also be on the lookout for a post from @flowerbaby showcasing all of the photos of the landscape that she captured.

Beautiful picture 😍😍 awesome couple 😍😍
Nothing wrong with a dirty car to get u to these offroad places, although I can see what you mean lol. Not exactly a 4x4 truck lol
Definitely not a truck, but my Audi’s Quattro has yet to ever fail me. I’ve taken this car out some very questionable roads, such as this one.
