Happy day to all my dear friends and followers who love nature. For me it is an honor to be able to share again with all of you another of my contents. Mainly giving thanks to GOD for allowing us every day to enjoy the great diversity and colorful that nature gives us and that thanks to this important platform we can share content that enrich our knowledge. In today's post I will be talking about the attractive blue ginger plant which is a typically tropical shrub is popular as an ornamental plant for its beautiful blue flowers and is also used as a medicinal plant.
Es una planta rizomatosa perenne de entre 1,40 a 2,40 metros de altura, posee hojas anchas de un color verde brillante. Es ramificada en la base presentando ramas erectas, las flores despuntan todo el año en inflorescencias terminales de color azul es una planta rústica y florifera
A sus hojas se les da un uso medicinal como emoliente,
diurética y antireumatica.
Se cultivan muy bien a pleno sol en suelos ricos en materia orgánica y con buen drenaje. El riego debe ser abundante en período de verano y regulares en temporada de invierno. Se multiplica por división de la planta, por estacas y por semillas
It is a perennial rhizomatous plant between 1.40 to 2.40 meters high, has broad leaves of a bright green color. It is branched at the base presenting erect branches, the flowers bloom all year round in terminal inflorescences of blue color, it is a rustic and floriferous plant.
Its leaves are used medicinally as an emollient,
diuretic and antirheumatic.
It grows very well in full sun in soils rich in organic matter and with good drainage. Watering should be abundant in summer period and regular in winter season. It multiplies by division of the plant, by cuttings and by seeds.
