A little piece of heaven on Earth.

I bet we all know what flax seeds are.
Those tiny little shiny seeds that are so good for us. And the oil that is also very good.
But did you even see where it comes from?

From those little beauties!

Those are flax seeds flowers. They grow around just like any other weed that nobody pays attention to. On the forgotten lawns, near the roads. I noticed them one time when I tried very hard to shoot them. They grow on those very slim and very flimsy stems and they move with the tines winds. The flowers are maybe 2 cm across and have the most amazing light blue colour! They don't last long. But when one dies and starts to produce the seeds (yes - the ones we eat), another one pops from the tip of the stem. And so on...

And now imagine a field full of those!
One spring we went to a park near the ocean and there, among the tall pines they were blooming.
What a view it was!

Not long after that walk, as an experiment, I took some of the flax seeds I had at home, the normal ones from the supermarket and I sprinkled them on top of a soil in one of my pots. They did grow and they did bloom just like the wild ones :)

Never underestimate wildflowers.

Oh ... are these flaxseed flowers ... I didn't know. and this is an excellent information for me. I consume flaxseed a lot. wonderful, sweet flowers. These sweet things that come out among the weeds. always makes nature beautiful. and very successful photos .. congratulations, dear Ewkaw
