...muted all the sounds, hid all the colours..
...and it was awesome!
This was the first snow I shot one early winter in Poland.
Poor Calendulas (photos above) were blooming away as the late fall days were nice and sunny. And even with the snow on they looked fresh. Their flowers filled with snow I saw for the first time though. They are usually gone by that time.
Boxwoods will stay green no matter what. With sunny days the snow will melt and it will freeze again over the night. The leaves will look like melted into glass. That will not kill the either.
In spring they will just keep growing.
They also give protection to insects and I often see small birds looking for them during winter.
I have no idea what plant that was. Some kind of blooming bush. One of many. Pretty seed pods though :)
More evergreen shrubs...
All the snow was gone by dinner time.
Pity.
Funny thing about Polish winter is that it always comes. Eventually. With more or less snow. More or less ice on the roads. It lasts few days, or a good few weeks.
But it comes.
And every year the road services and drivers are taken by surprise.

OMG that is so funny 😅 In Bulgaria it is the same - every single year the winter is a surprise for the road services and the officials...it is a complete joke. I don't even know how they manage to always screw it up...Imagine what a surprise for us it will be if once, just once, they are actually ready for the snow that comes with the winter?!? 😄
Thank you for sharing humun, as always great images and interesting post 🙏😊
Hahaha I thought only we are that special.
It's like they have short term memory and they forget that they actually might need to get the equipment ready before it snows... 🤣
That one time there will be no snow :p
Thanks a lot humun!
Piekne zdjecia, dawno nie bylo u nas prawdziwej zimy. Moze w tym roku sie uda, pozdrawiam.
Dziękuję :)
Oby się udało. Zima bez śniegu jest do kitu.
Those snow-covered pictures are giving me the chills... brrrr!
Have some tea :) 🍵
an amazing view, seeing blooming flowers that are starting to be covered in snow is like a sign that something new is about to start in life.
Thanks a lot!
Uwielbiam roślinki przykryte czapą śniegu, w sumie mogłaby już przyjść zima :)
I zaskoczyć drogowców :D
Standardowo! 😁
Oh! No! Too soon! It’s getting cold too fast!
No no... its good! Come winter, come :D
We also love to see snow in the north of Thailand too! Just the frost would drive tourists go crazy with cameras! LoL
Hahaha I bet! It is not the frost or snow they want to see there :)
sadly yes :) But ok, every season has its own charms. Only the cold bothers me to be exact :)
I really like winter and don't mind the cold :) It is better that boiling summer heat :p
Totally opposite here :)
So pretty ❤️ This is good quality art!
Love the colors and tones, just beautiful concepts!
God bless you my dear friend @ewkaw
Thank you!
So beautiful. A bit early for snow but The flowers with snow look very good on the picture.
Thanks :) It doesn't happen often to see them with snow like that.
Snow will not surprise us) But ... snow and flowers are dramatic and not entirely familiar. Although we even have snowstorms in the fall.
Not a common thing. Usually they are gone before the snow comes. It was cool thing to see.
Oh how I'd love to have some snowstorm here!
so cool that you guys have always a winter in poland! great shots:)
Thanks :)
It can be cold, dark and miserable... until the snow comes. It's so awesome then!

Flowers and snow are beautiful.
Our calendulas die much earlier than the "first snow".
The fall was pretty warm that year so they just kept blooming. And then they had a snow surprise :)
Congratulations!
And here people are still picking mushrooms all over)
You have mushrooms from spring to fall :p So jealous!
This year the mushrooms grow so well, because the rains were ...
But last year, due to drought, no mushrooms, no articles, only a store and tasteless mushrooms from there)
