It seems like the weather is more changeable in this time of year. It is still spring in Croatia. One day you are in T-shirt and enjoying the sun and already the next day you need a proper jacket and umbrella.

In this post we will show you the photos that we took on sunny day last weekend. We woke up and saw that the weather is perfect to spent some time in nature.
We went to Dominik's vineyard.

It was very warm that morning. First we stopped for a little on land of Dominik's neighbor vineyard, because I saw interesting purple flower next to his cottage.

This flowers look so special and they belong to species called Spreading bellflower
( Campanula patula L. ).

Behind you can see the trace from where I saw them.

Next one is the one that was one meter away from Spreading bellflower.

img_20210523_090729.jpg

It is called Rumex thyrsoides L.. This plant have this little green-red-pink nuts and on the second photo you can see an insect on it. We don't know what species exactly is this insect.

After that little photo sesion, we drove to the Dominik's vineyard. We went for a walk around the vineyard and also took some photos.

On the photo below you can see the vineyard all green. We often come here to enjoy the nature and sometimes drink coffee.
We really like this place because it is quite, only sound you can hear are natural sounds.

The fruits started to develop on Common grape wine ( Vitis vinifera L.).
Can't wait to try the taste from this year fruits in September.

There are a lot of species around here, some we already mention in our previous posts, but there are always new one. The biodiversity is changing every few meters even centimeters. So even if you see some species all the time, don't worry because 10 meters further you can find something new. Some species have a very large ecological niche and that is way they are everywhere, best example is Bairnwort.

This small plant is Purple Dead-Nettle ( Lamium purpureum L.)

img_20210523_091533.jpg

This species is very common in Croatia. On the photo below we at first thought it was a semi-parazite on plant but than we come to conclusion it was the same species.
We laughed so much because of it. We made a mistake because there in Croatia is that one semi-parazite called Lathrea squamaria but to be honest it doesn't even look like this.😅

White one is Addermeat ( Stellaria holostea L.). You can see little insect consuming nectar from him.

img_20210523_091833.jpg

This pink one is the one that we saw for the first time. We didn't learn about this one on university, so we found out with little help of books about what species is about.
It is called Ragged robin ( Lychnis flos- cuculi L.)

We found this flower very fascinanting because of shape of petals on it.

We stayed in vineyard little longer and took photos of nature around it. Everything looks just amazing, every little plant looks so alive.

On our way back we found this one.

Common poppy ( Papaver rhoeas L.) and there is no way you can miss them, their color of flower is so easy to spot, even from further distance.

img_20210523_092318.jpg

Color of this plant is so amazing, it fits perfectly in grass and show us the natural art of colors.

This fern is Lady fern ( Athyrium filix-femina (L.) Roth). This species is very variable and it comes in wetter and shady forests.

On our way home we also saw this little abandoned cottage.

img_20210523_092559.jpg

Plants occupied the cottage and grow all over it.

img_20210523_092616.jpg

Again we can see Common ivy all over the cottage.

img_20210523_092625.jpg

Peek trough the window.

This is the forest road where we need to pass through vineyard.
You can see how much they dig into the soil to make a path for people. One of the biggest stress situation for forest ecosystem.

img_20210523_093052.jpg

Big roots from boot sides of the way suffer great stress because they are exposed to air and direct rain.

img_20210523_093056.jpg

img_20210523_092845.jpg

Some species are very sensible and one wrong choice in construction of forest roads can deal a huge damage to big area.

img_20210523_113845.jpg

Pink flower is Grass Pea ( Lathyrus nissolia L.). We found this flowers so gentle and cute.

img_20210523_114418.jpg

We put this photo because we saw this white foam on it. We don't know what that is but it was very fascinating to see, so if you know about this white foam tell us in comments. ☺️🌿

img_20210523_114646.jpg

This is Yellow Spring Bedstraw ( Galium verum L.).
It usually comes in dry meadows.

img_20210523_114651.jpg

Last one is Yorkshire fog ( Holcus lanatus L. )
