Hello everyone!π
In last post we told you how we went on Δiovo and showed you some views we took on the road there. After that we went in Pirovac in Dominik's place. We decided to took photos of interesting plants that we saw on one of our walks there.

It is really great here in Pirovac, just a small village on the Adriatic sea. When we went for a walk we saw our neighbours there too. They also took a weekend off to enjoy the good weather and sounds of sea and gentle wind. There was a small amount of tourist. We saw people swimming in the sea and enjoying the sun.
We took the walk by the beach and decided to go in caffe bar for a drink to refresh ourselves.
Look at this funny vase. I really like the way the vase is made, so Dalmatian, also in it is the plant lavender.
After drink we bought a bread and continued walking by waterfront and this swan saw us and came straight to us.
He came really close and Dominik gave him a little piece of bread. He immediately ate it.π

This bird is so pretty. Almost everyone know about this one but they still amaze us. We sometimes try to take pitcures of birds but we are just to slow, we need to practice more.
Also there was a cat too. We gave her a little piece too.
So now lets get on plants that grow in Pirovac.
We really like to see plants that grows on walls or roofs of buildings and houses. Like this one here below with this beautiful pink flower. Caper bush ( Capparis orientalis Veill.). We didn't study this one on college but we did similiar one Capparis spinosa L.

Splendid flower, so amazing. We are always amazed how nature provides so many unique flowers with so many colors. Every time something new !!π
This little bush with small flowers is Ivy-leaved toadflax ( Cymbalaria muralis P.Gaertn).

Around this olive trees are planted Voletflower petunia ( Petunia violacea Lindl. ).
This flowers look like they have been perfectly painted. The crossings between the colors look so clean.
This tree is Pomegranate ( Punica granatum L. ). This tree is growing in almost every home yard.
This species have this big red flowers, they are very specific and easy to spot.

This pine down is Allepo pine ( Pinus halepensis Miller ), it grows in the Mediterranean part of Europe. Allepo pine is very adaptable, well tolerates drought and strong winds. This properties makes this species very important for reforestation.
This species is a pioneer for burned areas. It also have the cones that open only in one case and that is forest fire. The nature secured this species with magnificient feature for their survirval.

Cones are green when they start to grow, but at the end they end up in brown color.
The cones can stay on tree for over twelve years.
This little cone is so cute !π

This pink flowers belong to Oleander ( Nerium oleander L.). This species is very common in Meditteranean too, but it is poisonous. Flowers can come in many colors such as white, orange, yellow...

On our way we spotted this two lizards hugging I think so ? Haha. We took a quick photo and then they just run off.
This amazing flower belongs to Blue passionflower ( Passiflora caerulea L. ). This flower is just so amazing it seems like someone made it at home with bunch of materials and put it here.
Photo below is taken next day. You can see that all flowers are closed due to weather in the morning. It was cloudy so they decided to stay closed. They bloom all summer, so we are looking forward to seeing them again soon.
This prickly bush with tiny yellow flowers is called Christ's thorn jujube ( Paliurus spina-christi Mill. ).

Here you can se thorns on branch. They are very pointy.
Plant below is a Mediterranean buckthorn ( Rhamnus alaternus L.).

It is common in this areas and this dark red round fruits will be black when they fully grow.

This is the biggest Sentry plant ( Agave americana L.) that we ever saw. They bloom only once in their lifetime. After the flower wither a whole plant wither too, but with the parent plant there are always little ones and that is how they constantly expanding.
Purple one is Large periwinkle ( Vinca major L.). There are a lot of breeding forms of this species.

Elmleaf blackberry ( Rubus ulmifolius Schott).

After that walk we went in cottage and started to rewatch the anime Attack on Titan..
