I really doubt that there are some landscapes prettier than other. Every one is unique, just like every living being from microorganisms to the huge animals and trees. That is also what makes every landscape specific - the biodiversity.
We wanted the weekend off without worrying about studying and college, so first we decided to go on Δiovo where is Ana's family and then from there we went in Pirovac in Dominik's cabin at sea.
Last Thursday by car we took the old road to the sea. We love to travel on old road because the forests and villages are closer to you and you can stop at anytime and look around the place that catch your eye.
This photos below are from few stops that we took. Every hill around us looked so huge. This area is Gorski kotar and it is common for huge areas of healthy forests. Here you can find a lot of apartmans for a very reasonable price.
The weather was amazing that day. Sunny and warm with beautiful clouds making it more interesting to look.β
Also we found few interesting species.
This yellow one is Smyrnium perfoliatum L. I really like how the leaf colors turn yellow at the top just like little flowers.
Travelling through here is so magnificent, the views, we feel so tiny in this country and Croatia as a country is very small one but with so much nature to see.
Purple one is Viper's bugloss ( Echium vulgare L.)
This stop is a view of a very spacious landscape. It looks like there is no end to this expanse.
On the photo below you can see how the landscape changed and there is no more high green forest, this is Mediterranean landscape with a lot od bushes on hills with degraded forests. This landscape is a result of a higher temperature and strong gust of wind.
As soon as we saw this Mediterranean landscapes we spotted the sea.
Photo below shows a view from the beach on Δiovo. Summer is starting soon so there are already peple who enjoy themselves in sea. For us the sea is still cold, but next time we get back it is going to be perfect for swimming and relaxing in it.
This pinky flowers are from garden that Ana's mum take care of. It is called Common mallow ( Malva sylvestris L. ). She was very happy to show me these flowers in their full bloom.
This one are also from the garden and their name is Field bindweed
( Convolvulus arvensis L. )
We went for a walk by the coast and mums dog was our companion, his name is Ogi. He loves to go in sea to refresh himself, since he have a long hair he looks very funny when he comes out from the sea. He really likes to sniff around here and of course bark at seagulls.
Here you can see him laying down in water. ππ
Usually in this time of the year there are a lot of tourist here enjoying the Mediterranean climate but due to all restrictions about traveling there are only small amount of tourists.
We really like to see all these algaes near the sea surface. Theories said that all the plants evolved from algaes. We also heard a little bit about that theme on university and I found it really interesting. When you think about it it is really possible, colors are similar, they 're producing oxygen too...just woow.
All landscapes are just unique from sea landscapes to desert and high mountain landscapes. In addition to today's large construction of various construction facilities we need to protect these landscapes but not just for our sake but for sake of all living beings on earth. π³π±βοΈ
I hope you like our post and enjoy your day.
All photos were taken by us. π
I heard that all physical life forms came from the water.
Even humans. This would make even more sense, if we think about the fact that approximately 70% of the human body is water.
I heard that too and I also think that is true. Like you said about 70% of our bodies are water. Since algaes are in water there is only a conclusion that plants come from water too, but I thought about filogenetic theory how the plants started to grow in high when they came out from thw sea as algaes.
Thank you very much for comment and enjoy your day. βΊοΈ
