I was on the planless drive in this day through a Agri-Field, this land is getting ready for planting next Season crops. There is a process named Land Preparation where the Plowing, Plant Spacing, Vegetables need a deep and well-drained soil with adequate organic matter.
The mountain behind was the western ghats which highlights the season and deviate thr wind from west to east. Which makes the whole land to be perfect for cultivation. The due to moderate the rain fall and wind the crops will sustain better compared to other places.
But the sad truth is, chemical fertilizers made this soil bad for long term food production and cultivation. It was a great place on ancient time rules by kings where they provide full support for the agricultural people.
