Esta es la octava entrega de la serie que he titulado “exploración fotográfica del jardín”, una actividad con la que me mantengo activo en estos tiempos de encierro obligatorio. Me he obligado a encontrar motivos fotográficos en mi entorno inmediato, así que ando muy pendiente de todo lo que me rodea, con esto he logrado afinar bastante mi observación.
This is the eighth installment of the series I have titled "photographic exploration of the garden", an activity with which I keep active in these times of obligatory confinement. I have been forced to find photographic motifs in my immediate environment, so I am very aware of everything around me, and with this I have managed to refine my observation quite a bit.
En estos tiempos de calma las aves se han vuelto más amigables, se posan por todos lados y hasta anidan en sitios muy cercanos de donde estamos las personas, así ha ocurrido con una familia de colibríes que han tomado una serie de arbustos cercanos para armar sus nidos. Esto me ha dado un nuevo entretenimiento porque cada vez que distingo un nido trato de hacerle seguimiento y he logrado estar cuando nacen los pichones.
In these calm times the birds have become more friendly, they perch everywhere and even nest in places very close to where people are. This has happened to a family of hummingbirds that have taken a series of nearby bushes to build their nests. This has given me a new entertainment because every time I see a nest I try to follow it and I have managed to be there when the chicks are born.
Para este tipo de fotos hay que ser muy discreto porque los colibríes son muy sensibles cuando están anidando, si se molestan mucho son capaces de abandonar los nidos así hayan puesto los huevos.
For this type of photo you have to be very discreet because hummingbirds are very sensitive when they are nesting, if they get very upset they are able to leave the nests even if they have laid their eggs.
Comparto con ustedes tres fotos de ese momento mágico cuando nacen los pichones. Las aves se desarrollan muy rápido, a las dos o tres semanas de nacer ya han alcanzado la madurez necesaria para abandonar el nido y salir a conquistar el mundo.
