My experience becoming a plant mom this year- Amazing nature

in WE ARE MOVING4 years ago

Becoming a plant mom has been so healing and rewarding.. Sometimes plants die and dry up, others flourish and teach you what they need, others get attacked by pests and you have to look for solutions... All this activity is so healing ( for me).
Being able to take minutes/hours tending to my garden and potted plants, especially on weekends, has taught me mindfulness.
I'm so used to having my thoughts racing day in day out as I type and stare at screens all day.
Having a hobby that makes me chill is so good for my soul.

Here are some of my plants

1. Strawberry

2. Pepper

3. Variegated Arrowhead vine.

I saw this one in a thicket somewhere and rooted it and it's slowly growing. Very low maintenance. You'll notice that I don't buy most of my plants. Also I'm getting used to having plants indoors.. I need cuter pots.

4. Butternut

Inspired by Pinterest, I started crate farming as well. I used broken tiles on the sides to prevent soil from pouring. I have a bean, Butternut pumpkin and cucumber. Under the mulch is dhania germinating. I'll look for poles and string later for the vines to grow
