Nature never failed to amuse me everytime I come to visit it's paradise. Nothing beats the feeling of excitement when I think about to explore to nature most especially to mountains. However, this time, I want to share this amazing wanderlust to river of Catmon. It was so mesmerizing to witness it's green emerald water to it's healing wonders and shades of the trees.
Come on, join me as we are about to explore the majestic river of Catmon or people called this as, Linaw.
According to our little and silly tour guide for today, this river has three layers. The Linaw/Linao 1, 2, and 3. But this time, I'll share to you the two layers of river and I'll make a separate post for the third Linaw.
Linaw First Tier
Linaw or Linao means clear, or undisturbed, this has been the refuge of some people wanted to take a dip or make a relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of life. It's indeed clear and can be able to see the entire river bed.
Apart from that, a tiny waterfall can also be found. I'm enjoying it's water falling down to it's river pool. This day, we are so blessed that He has given us good weather to explore Catmon river.
And as you all know, just last week, we experienced heavy rains, flashfloods, and landslides. Out of nowhere, water are coming out and it's uncontrollable surge can turn people's lives to extenuate. There were incidents that a car flooded by flashflood in Carmen (just a neighborhood barangay of Catmon) and it's so heartbreaking since there were 17 of them riding. However, only 10 were safe and 7 of them didn't able to return alive, and what's worst was the newlywed were one of the seven along with relatives who's still students.
It's heart-wrenching incident happened. It made me realized that nature has a way of revenge when we neglect our duty to mother earth.
Majestic Second Tier
When we reached the second linaw, we were astonished by how it was renovated. Before, it was damaged due to heavy rains and continues flashflood. Some of the huge rocks were washed away and the signature pile left in vain. Now, it's been recovered like new.
It's been surrounded with Dao trees and big rocks as well. This place called Sitio Dao since lot of Dao trees grow here. One can relax with its peaceful and quiet environment. You know what, there's no entrance fee here even the LGU beautify the river. I agree to them that they didn't after the money but for the welfare and happiness of the people. Nature is supposed to be FREE! But why other people making money to our natural resources?! And overpriced the entrance when they already gained the capital? Such a dismay.
Oh big rocks! Here you are. Kindly let the water pass? Hehe
Therapeutic View of the Trees
I may not appreciate before the beauty of trees but now, as I accidentally look up, I saw how wonderful creation of God! Not just trees but beyond the horizon as well. By looking at the trees, such a therapeutic and healing of freedom to wander, humbleness I felt at that time, and a power of bravery to explore the wilderness.
That's all for our exploration along the river Hive Friends! See you on the next one! Toodles!😉🫰
