Yep, you are right, Zac, it's a male and a female. I am glad that a few photos came out reasonable sharp because it was already getting dark - the sun was setting behind me.
Right, one night is not enough. A whole week would have been cool, but we were part of a group and couldn't stay longer. We have seen other beautiful places the next days anyway, and maybe one day the desert will see me again :)

Great that you saw some sights and yes, who knows what will happen in the future.

There is a place here up in the Cedarberg area where the mountains have many folds and maybe when summer comes I will go up there. It's about 2-3 hours drive from here with a few mountain passes to cross over. Your bike would love that.
