Background of the story
June 25, 2023
(My mother's side cousin in Negros Occidental called me early in the morning to inform me that my cousin's partner had passed away from kidney disease. The news that someone had died struck me at the time, and I was both shocked and devastated. My mother and her sisters made the decision to travel to Negros in the afternoon, and I was one of them. However, due to job obligations, some of them were unable to attend. Let's fast-forward to when we arrived in Negros to attend my cousins' burial alongside my mother and her sister. The dead body was in the cemetery a few hours later. )

🤍🤍

They chose to accompany me to a location I was unfamiliar with after we returned from the cemetery to our cousin's house. It was my first time visiting Negros. My mother has often asked me to accompany them when they decide to return, but I have always refused because I am too afraid to travel by ship. I constantly ask myself, "What if the ship sinks and I don't know how to swim?" Would I get eaten by the shark? Throughout my life, that has been the thing I overthink the most. Is that relevant to you? ..Hehe

😱😍

Alright, let's go on to the location that is unfamiliar to me. My friends and I were six at the time. I was struck by the pure air as we traveled, and I realized how different their natural beauty was from ours. It takes around five or six hours to get to the Don Salvador Benedicto from my friends' place. It has a large road, thick trees on either side, and most significantly, it is so clean that you can feel the moment while you are traveling.

We arrived to the Don Salvador Benedicto, and I was immediately struck by how beautiful the surrounding scenery was. The Filipino municipality of Don Salvador Benedicto, also known by its abbreviation DSB, is situated in the Negros Occidental province. It's also known as the "Little Baguio of Negros occidental" and is a hidden treasure tucked away in the province's highlands. The trip to Don Salvador Benedicto is an adventure unto itself, with narrow roads leading to gorgeous landscapes of terraced rice fields, verdant forests, and gushing waterfalls. You'll experience peace and escape from the bustle of city life as you climb into the cold mountain air.

😱🤩

Upon reaching the Don Salvador Benedicto, you'll be greeted by a serene atmosphere that is attractive and a landscape that seems to be straight out of a postcard. It is a popular destination for nature lovers, hikers, and tourists seeking a peaceful life. The municipality is known for its picturesque viewpoints, such as the Malatang-Og Waterfalls, where you can marvel at the beauty of nature and feel the mist of the cascading waters on your skin.

😍😍😍

I'm proud to be able to say that Don Salvador Benedicto is one of the best places I've been. You won't regret going to a place like this one; it will offer you piece of mind. To create priceless memories, you might travel there with your loved ones. Speaking of memories, I would have liked to express my gratitude to my family and friends in Negros occidental for giving me a warm welcome into their home, even if they were unaware of my presence as it was my first visit. I was overwhelmed at the moment. You shouldn't feel undervalued , despite their location, I was able to meet my relatives and they treated me like a member of the family.

❤️❤️❤️

For the moment being, I want to come back to Negros and stay there until I explore the places they are. My friends and cousins have assured me that we will visit Mount Canlaon if I come back to their places because they have informed me that it is not that far from their locations. From being terrified of ships to wanting to board them.❤️
