Hello fellow Hive nature lovers! I'm here posting to the #amazingnature contest of December 2021 #02. And what is my amazing nature love you may ask? Well I happen to love trees!
I developed this love for trees when I was little as I was a Tom boy...but scared of heights!🤣 And at grandma's and grandpa's house there was this big old oak tree that I could only go up one branch because of my fear of heights. Then my big brother came up behind me and said, "Keep climbing up or I'll tug you down!"🤣🤣 Yeah, that meant that everytime I saw a tree that was climbable I would try to climb it (not always with success lol).
And my dream is to live in a treehouse someday!🤩 Well, that's not what brought me here today. But I recently went down the street here in Morelia, Michoacàn Mexico to check out the Arboretum, and I wasn't sorry at all!😍
Of course, it took me awhile to get down the road past three soccer fields full of Mexican families out playing and picnicking on a Sunday afternoon. I find this better than staying home and playing video games or surfing on the net.
So I go in through the Arboretum sign and first thing I see is a sort of Mexican stop-and-exercise mini outdoor gym😅 And I say to myself, "Don't mind if I do."💪
And yes, flip flops are very common in South Central Mexico in December lol😝
When I get done with my exercising I look over and see the biggest tree in the whole arboretum, and I decide to go on over and say hi.
This tree was huge and you could almost build a little hobbit hut in the trunk.
I finally tare my eyes off of my new friend and decide to check out the other trees and though they were smaller they were still very beautiful. Most were in lines like they were doing a country line dance, and some even seemed to be speaking to each other😲
This last one made me laugh like he was out of order, lying down on the job😅 I could almost imagine them arguing (yes, I do have a wee bit of an imagination😝).
So I continue on throughout the arboretum weaving through the barbecue parties (it's alright, no one set fire that day).
Wading through tons of leaves and high grass (no snakes thank heavens😅), I finally get back down to the soccer fields feeling reposed, replenished, and even rejuvenated😄 I walk back up aside the road to see all the incredibly beautiful nature around me😍
People were eating and playing everywhere, as it should be. They were giggling and laughing with each other, while the mountains looked on approving their joyful afternoon together.
Then I come across this burry plant with colourful leaves.
I couldn't figure out what it was. I'm not a botanist in spite of my love for nature lol. I finally reach the end then turn right to cross the Rio Grande to head home (it wasn't very grand but small and still as sweet😜).
I got home 15 minutes later feeling as if those trees had breathed the life back into me. Going up to my room, I decide to take one last amazing nature photo of the sunset from the rooftop thinking life is indeed a blessing🙏💞
All pictures taken by me with my Huawei Nova with the exception of the two pics of me in the tree taken twenty years ago with my Olympus Mu camera.
Those are Amazing collection of wonderful trees photos and you have good memories with it.
Thank you for your kind comment. I feel at home around trees. For me they are the roots of all life💞🙏
Any sign of wildlife? I'm hoping there are some friendly critters.
Well, the Mexicans are pretty friendly but didn't invite me for a bite unfortunately😜 (I am joking, I love Mexicans💞) Didn't see any squirrels or even many birds. Now that you mention it, that is strange🤔
I was a tree climber too younger, not so much anymore haha!
Haha! Me neither unless the trees are very low to the ground, old age😝 But my favorite part of The Hunger Games is when Katniss is up in the tree lol😂
I have no idea what you're talking about...What's the Hunger Games?
Joking...
