It builds the web in open sunny rice fields. Usually, it stays there until the harvest season arrives. Active during the day. Occupies the center of the web and faces down. Another amazing thing is the zigzag web of thick silk in the middle and extends vertically. It is a web decoration that characterizes it, called a stabilimentum. The spider is not aggressive but has a venom to use when it is disturbed or abused. The effect is the same as a bumblebee sting. It's [the yellow garden spider (Argiope aurantia)](. I watched as it swayed its web in a back and forth motion. Regarding distribution, it is said, Argiope aurantia is found from Canada to Costa Rica.
