"Snowshoeing Yard Tour"
It's snowing again! I heard that it will rain this coming weekend so all the fresh snow is going to melt soon. I had to shovel but I wanted to enjoy snowshoeing before all the powder snow melts and becomes icy. I just walked around my property this time.
On my property, there are quite a few trees. I don't go near the woods when the grass grows long in summer or when the snowfall is deep in winter. However, if I wear snowshoes, I can go farther. I enjoy exploring my land because there are sometimes unknown animal tracks or some interesting things happening in nature.
After enjoying snowshoeing, I shoveled snow. It wasn't too tough because the snow was fresh and powdery. I love powder snow shoveling. It is good exercise. It is a very good moment. I should only focus on how to move the snow quickly and cleanly. Most of the time, I think about my life, days, family, and more but it becomes a no-mind state after a while. I love exercise which is connected to our life's necessary movement.

また雪です！週末は雨になる予報で、せっかく積もった雪がとけてしまうようです。雪かきをしなくてはならなかったのですが、雪がとけて凍る前にパウダースノーを楽しみたかったので、雪かき前にスノーシューイングをすることにしました。今回はただ敷地内を軽く歩いただけですが…。
敷地内にはけっこう木が生えています。夏の緑が生い茂っている時と、冬の雪が積もっている時はあまり奥深くまではいかないのですが、スノーシューを履けば奥まで行くことができます。見知らぬ動物がいたり、小さな自然の中で何かが起こっているかも知れないので、敷地内を冒険するのは楽しいです。
スノーシューイングをした後に雪かきをしました。降りたての雪でパウダー状なので簡単に雪かきできました。パウダースノーの雪かきは好きです。いい運動になります。雪かきの時間はとてもいい時間です。素早くきれいに雪かきすることだけに集中します。ほとんどの時間は人生、日々、家族のことなどを考えながら雪かきましますが、ある程度考え終わると無になります。わたしは生活に関連した運動をすることが好きです。

We brought these snowshoes from Japan. These are not expensive but work well.
これは日本から持ってきたスノーシューです。高いものではないのですが使いやすいです。

Summer garden covered by snow. I picked delicious vegetables last summer. Let's go up to get to the grapevines.
夏にはこの畑でたくさんおいしい野菜がとれました。今は雪で覆われています。この横を登ってぶどう畑を見に行きましょう。

Oh! There are animal tracks. Actually, I bumped into a little mouse. The mouse didn't notice me and was surprised when it saw me. After seeing me, it went down into the snow. It was cute.
あれ！動物の足跡です。小さなネズミに遭遇しました。ネズミはわたしに気づかずに歩いてきて、わたしを見てびっくりして雪の中に隠れてしまいました。かわいかったです。

Here come the grapevines. I enjoyed delicious grapes last autumn. I made grape juice and jam last autumn.
さあ、ぶどう畑に着きました。秋にはおいしいぶどうがとれました。ぶどうジュースとジャムを作りました。

あれ！また別の動物の足跡です。鳥か何かでしょうか。

I see a small evergreen. It looks like a little Christmas tree.
小さな松の木です。ミニクリスマスツリーのようです。

These are an apple tree and blueberry bushes area connected to the grapevines. I made yummy blueberry and berry banana bread last summer. I can't wait for next season! I see somebody's footprints here as well.
ここはりんごの木とブルーベリーの木がある場所です。夏にブルーベリーとベリーバナナブレットを作りました。ベリーの季節が待ち遠しいです。ここにも誰かの足跡があります。

I love to rest under the big pine tree because it's very quiet. It's warm in winter, it's cool in summer.
この大きな木の下で一休みするのが大好きです。とても静かな場所です。冬は暖かく、夏は涼しいです。

There are blackberries in summer. This is my secret spot. We hung special wishes for the star festival in this tree in summer.
夏にはブラックベリーがたくさんとれます。ここは秘密の場所です。七夕には短冊を飾りました。

Going down with snowshoes is very easy on the slope.
スノーシューで坂を下るのはとっても楽ちんです。

Well, I have to do shoveling now. It was easy to carry because the powder snow is light. It was good exercise.
さてと、雪かきの時間です。パウダー状の雪は運ぶのが簡単です。いい運動になりました。
