Our Local Patch of Four Leafed Clovers

There is magic in so many landscapes around this beautiful Earth. I truly feel blessed to live here, despite the hardships of human society and the future which is unknown and sometimes frightening. To remedy my anxiety I go into nature and am reminded to live here & now and stop worry about what is to come.

Fortunately for me, the land where I live is full of beauty and wonder. I tend to our garden and plant flowers to add extra beauty but the land herself does most of the work.

Over the years I have discovered a very particular spot just feet away from my home that is seemingly enchanted. I know there is a source of natural magic emanating from this little pond because of the feeling that I get when there, because my cats and friends feel it too, and most of all because I am constantly finding four-leafed clovers in this very spot!

As a child and teenager I was constantly looking to escape the mundane world and find magic in the little things. As a result I spent many hours searching the grass for four leafed clovers during school hours or soccer practice but never found a single one. Until now!

Here is one of many that I found - I think about 8 in total just in September which is fitting as it is my birthday month. Some I pick to decorate my journal for good luck, others I gave to friends but some I let be in this enchanted patch and look upon as I pass to & fro doing my herbalist chores.

Besides four-leafed clovers, this patch of magic also contains the flowers of white clovers which I collect for magic and medicine, plantain which can be used for all sorts of healing, and fibers for making little baskets.

This spot has so much abundance, most importantly, most of the year this pond is full of water which rises up on naturally there and creates habitat for butterflies, frogs, insects, and maybe even the Fae, I hope <3

I wish you all well and hope you have enjoyed this tour of one of my favorite places, our local patch of four leafed clovers.
