Hello guys this is my entry to the contest #amazingnature so I was walking pass a bush part on my way to class one day. I school in the north central part of Nigeria nasarawa state to be precise, this part of the country are very rich in farming, they have a very fertile soil which is very rich and can grow different types of plants even with the semi harsh weather. I saw this beautiful wonderful structured tree, obviously it has been cut down for firewood by the villagers but still it's still trying to survive, I really do not know what kind of tree it is but I couldn't live without taking a picture of it, it's so amazing I must say.
The question you may ask is why would people cut down trees for firewood?? In most part of the country people still use firewoods since they are unable to afford cooking stoves so they go out daily looking for woods to fetch, any tree they find will be a victim mostly when it is located in the middle of nowhere they assume it is useless so they cut it down, let it dry and use them for firewood some even go about to sell it.
