Water lily is an aquatic plant and is very adaptable.
I'm not sure which picture is #photooftheday or #pictureaday for me.
I am quite happy that I was there at the right time of day to be able to photograph the open bloom.
I sit at the pond and am quite fascinated by the iridescent carp that slowly swim under the water roses though.
Water rose is a collective name for various flowers and blossoms.
