The Alberta Badlands are as amazing to me as the Rocky mountains are, and like the Rockies, they have stood for longer than humans have been around. These natural formations are very picturesque and known as a hotspot for Dinosaur and many other ancient fossil discoveries. Many of Alberta's Badlands were formed by erosion from glacial meltwater during the retreat of the Laurentide ice sheet about 13000 years ago. They reveal an interesting window to the past, revealing many layers of clay and rock that were present millions of years ago.
It is very beautiful that the edge of the hill looks like a carving.
In a way its like natures own carving, creating art out of the landscape!
