Birds are having their hatchlings. I found the nests of different birds and you can hear the squeaky sound coming from the holes in the trees.
First is the great tit.
I knew that there was a nest, because I saw once the bird coming out from that hole. This time I wait a little bit and my patience was rewarded.
Next comes the starling, poking its head outside.
And ready to go.
And flew away to find food.
I found few trees with holes made by woodpeckers but never had the chance to see the birds there untill yesterday, when I heard another squeaky sound. While waiting to catch the moment with woodpecker coming out, the bird took me by surprise on another tree. I started chasing it from tree to tree and a second one joined. They were male and female Syrian woodpecker. Here are some photos from the chase.
On that photo the bird did not touch the tree. Another lucky shot.
So that was the female woody, next is the male with red nape.
A curious sparrow, I think it was a sparrow, came to see what the woodpecker was doing.
And lastly a photo that is rather grainy and not of a good quality but I captured the bird in funny position.
It is amazing to watch the birds and their activities and how they look after their little ones. Day after day I discover new things about them. They make me more observant and it helps to capture interesting moments with the camera.

I saw a starling hanging out in a woodpecker hole the other day. I thought it was strange behavior but maybe it's more common than I thought.
I read about starlings how they use old holes made by woodpeckers and this is quite common. Next thing I wish to see is the young birds when they start leadning to fly.
Learn something new each day. We need to sneak a gopro into one of their nests lol.
That would be interesting to see. 😉
