Ramakkalmedu is in Idukki, Kerala, India located the border of Tamil Nadu, India.

The ranges of Ramakkalmedu is peaceful and ideal for short tripd. The location has some fantastic spots and capture wonderful panoramic scenery.
Natural attractions are hills, that stand next to Tamilnadu valleys. The first hill is easy to trek, with combined statue of Kuravan and Kurathi.
Travel to reach the next hill, where the view point is difficult to trek. The beauty of nature is quite amazing. See the towns, farmlands and forests of Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
The wind presence is high in Ramakkalmedu, one of the fastest wind presence in kerala, a constant companion regardless of rain, shine, day or night. Government of Kerala has placed wind mill farm to generate electricity.

Ramakalmedu is a day tour location to enjoy a few chill out days in this land, history say's Rama set his foot. Ramakkal,gets its name from Rama, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
How to reach Ramakalmedu
If you are taking public transport,from kochi need to reach thookupalam Idukki by bus this small town in idukki, about 7 kms from Ramakkalmedu, is the last stop for buses. For further journey you have to hire a vehicle from there. Make arrangements for your return journey. If you are driving, Ramakalmedu is positioned midway between Munnar and Thekkady Kerala India.
