We have waited so long for this.
Listen! Can you hear thousands of apple trees clapping hands?
A hearty and cold good morning to all.
The cold is here and the trees can go into a deeper sleep, that means sweeter fruits in summer.
Now don't laugh, we don't get snow like Europe does, but Africa is a very hot continent and snow is a novelty here.
Bear with me as the light was bad and the storm clouds were still about.
I have been watching since sunrise.
This was earlier and I waited patiently, as I saw the difference in the mountain peaks appearance.
Cold here today, but thankfully there was only a light drizzle of rain that stopped a bit later. I only got a little bit wet hahaha.
What a luck as here I had a Yellow Billed Kite (Milvus aegyptius) floating over.
Shame the little female Southern Double-collared sunbird (Cinnyris chalybeus) was doing running repairs to her nest.
So the latest storm of storms brought us huge rain, cold and snow and early this morning it was about 6C.
First thing that I did was to check if the little animals were okay and yes, the squirrels wanted nuts and all of our little wild birds are also okay.
We are also fine and as they say, life goes on.

Aha, there is definitely something white to see on the mountains and it looks like snow 😁
I love it a lot when in the beginning of winter the first snow covers just parts of the mountains and leaves gray rocks still showing, like in your photos.

Unlike in your country where there are tons of snow, our wee little bit here is that's it. Finito, Kaput.
Yet in some of our other provinces the snow can fall up to a meter deep.
But yes, I also love those grey, ice cold forbidding rocks.

Our heat wave seems to be over, the temperatures are only around 30 C or less anymore - that's much better 😀

Severe heat is a terrible thing and over here it is dangerous as it can start fires in the wild.

BEER.Nowadays we do not get snow either. We are currently in the summer, which is hot, with a temperature usually above 30° C.
When it's 30C here we put out jackets on :)
What is above 30C, as do you guys also go up to 50C ?
Then what would you do below 0 °C?
50 °C? The highest temperature in Hungary was +41.90 °C so far on 2007.07.20. The lowest was -35 °C on 1940.02.16. Both are crazy/insane. My hands are in pain below -7°C. Even in gloves.
Ha, we have never been lower than 0C my friend.
-35 is extremely cold, as we ron our freezer rooms for processed meats at -32C.
So you must be frozen meat hahaha.
