She was extremely strict and I only realized that it was necessary when I had my own kids. Nowadays the clever IT kids call their parents stupids, but I challenge any of those kids to try and endure what their parents had to endure, without the aid of IT.

Yep, I can only agree, and I have to admit that we haven't been very strict ... not a bit strict, to be honest, and I am happy that our kids have become good kids anyway 😊
I think it also depends a little bit on the genes, like good mountain goat genes 😂

Well my mom was extraordinary strict. That helped me a lot in the army and whenever I was at home my children would behave. Problem was that I was not often at home as I worked out in the country and their mother would spoil them rotten.
Fortunately once they had their own children everything changed and they are raising lovely children.
Only 50% mountain goat genes, but that's enough to drive anyone crazy 🤣🤣🤣

I think that both of you kids are balanced very well my friend.
My kids are a bit freer with their kids, but thank fully the grand children are turning out great 🙏
