Appreciate Beauty of Nature with @phortun: round 121

in WE ARE MOVING3 years ago

Hi there my Hivean friends and followers!

Welcome to the 121st round of my special weekly photo challenge known as Appreciate Beauty of Nature with @phortun :)

I know a lot of photo contests with nature as the main theme were/are/will be hosted by various people on the Hive blockchain but I wanted to come up with something more than just another photo contest where participants would submit their best natural photos. Therefore, I decided to go for quite an unusual concept that I am going to introduce in the following lines.

The aim of the Appreciate Beauty of Nature with @phortun photo challenge is not to make you dig up your photo archives and submit the best pictures of nature that you have ever taken. Instead, I want you guys to go out and appreciate the beauty of our nature right now.

The internet (and the Hive blockchain as well) is flooded with picture perfect shots of landscapes, mountains, forests, beaches etc. taken years ago. But this is not what I want to see in this challenge. I want to see shots that may not be necessarily stunning but they must be fresh, proving that you have just physically spent some time outdoors in the fresh air. But remember that nature comes in many forms. It doesn´t have to be a pristine jungle or a deep remote forest. An urban park, a botanical garden, a little grove on the outskirts of your town - pretty much any place with some trees, plants, rocks, bodies of water or any other natural features would be just as fine ;)

Obviously, there is no way for me to verify whether the photo that you submit in the challenge is really fresh or if it was even taken by you so I am relying on your honesty guys. The prizes for the winners (as described below) are more symbolical than overly motivating so I don´t expect too much fraudulent behavior in this challenge anyway.

I want to keep the rules of this challenge as simple and benevolent as possible so let´s agree on just this:

Only one entry (photo) per person per round.

The photo must be yours and not older than one week.

Add a few words about the photo, at least where and when you took it.

You can start submitting your entries to this round in the comment section below from now until the next round.

Prior to publishing the next round post, I will pick 3 winners, give my full upvote on their entries and feature them in the next round of the challenge. As long as the response is not too overwhelming, I will also try to give some smaller upvotes on all of the other entries to reward all participants.

I might change the concept and/or the rules of the photo challenge later on, depending on how things go. I usually host the challenge on Thursday but when needed for some reason, I can host it on some other day so better check my blog regularly not to miss out on it ;)

To keep up with you guys, I submit my own fresh natural photo to every round´s post too :) Here is my contribution to start out this round:

After an unusually warm and sunny May, we have been having an unusually cold and cloudy June so far but that´s ok with me as June is often too hot already here in Central Europe. Today has been another cloudy day (as you can see in the picture above) but that didn´t prevent me from enjoying a little walk in the so called Central Park here in the Prague neighborhood of Stodulky, Czech Republic. There is a number of these little fields or meadows if you will where a variety of colorful flowers are blooming these days. I captured some of them for you just about 2 hours ago ;)

In the last round, we had 6 participants. After some thorough consideration, I decided to pick these 3 winners:

@onlavu with this entry from the Czech Republic:

An isolated small stone field (if it is a larger one, they tend to call it as a stone sea) which I was going by last week during my 27 kilometer long hike. You can find it in the Jeseniky Mountains, Czechia.

@tommyl33 with this entry from Malaysia:

This is my entry for round 120. This photo was taken at my hometown where I was grow up last weekend. I spend a lot of my time in this area when I was kid and this huge stone is one of my playground. The location is Sabah, Malaysia.

@deepresearch with this entry from Poland:

Just some unusually sparse pine forest located next to the castle in the medieval town of Siewierz, a little bit north from Katowice, Poland. The castle is a part of the famous Eagle Nests' Way, leading from Kraków to Częstochowa. This way is popular because of castles, scenic views and amazing jurrasic rock formations. Picture taken last Saturday while I was on my way along the Black Przemsza River.

Congratulations guys! It was my pleasure to give you 100% upvotes on your entries :)

I am looking forward to what you will come up with in this round.

Have fun and appreciate the beauty of nature!

Appreciate Beauty of Nature with @phortun: round 121

Good evening ✨

IMG_20220612_163944.jpg

One Sunday walk on Deliblato Sands (Banat, Serbia) .... Sand and wild tobacco blossomed, which attracted various insects with its intoxicating scent ..
Walking on the sand between the pine forests and blooming wild tobacco .... A walk that fills with energy, brings closer to nature and that's where I realize how much I love her ... 🥰

Have a nice evening ✨✨✨

Hey Suzana, good to see you here again :) That´s a nice close up of a very interesting insect species. Thank you for this great entry :)

My pleasure @phortun 🥰

Thank you very much 🤗🌸

I love your image of the wild flowers. I love fields of wild flowers. So beautiful.

Here is my shot of my walk 4 days ago where I and my son found this gorgeous green trail while going for a walk around our neighborhood in Vancouver.
These stairs really stood out to me and I thought they looked so cool in the midst of all this gorgeous green nature.

Hey there, what a nice surprise to see you here again :) Thanks for this beautiful entry, I love these mysterious forest paths, it´s like they are literally whispering: "Just follow me..." :)

My entry for this week @phortun

10d1799a_10ac_40a4_9cc7_8290b9e79cf2
Location is somewhere in the mountains in Alhaurín de La Grande, sunny southern Spain.
We went there yesterday morning to explore an abandoned castle up in the hills. After we had done that we went for lunch to a Venta, which is a family owned for many generations restaurant. They are mainly found on roads that go from one place to the other in the middle of nowhere.
After that I had planned to see an old mill, as I found it on Google maps and wanted to check it out. We parked our car… as it was after lunchtime it was already getting pretty warm. 31 degrees Celsius it was yesterday. The mill was located in a valley and the road to it was so small…. We had to drive further to park on a side and walk back. Up and down hill… in the sun hehehe
The water mill was hidden between vegetation and large trees… I read it was abandoned, but to my surprise it was fenced in and a car was parked outside. It did have a sign saying it was a historical landmark. But we could not see it from the road and I didn’t want to tress pass as it looked properly cared for and maintained now. It even had a veggie and fruit garden next to it.
I followed the little stream and this photo was what we saw. A little wooden fence on it so nobody would access there. The mill hidden, but water flowing.
Birds in the trees where chatting away… further silence.
It sure was a nice day out with new adventures and discoveries 😁☀️👋🏻

Interesting picture and a great write up as always, thank you for another great entry! :)

You are welcome, happy to enter 😉 enjoy your day! Thanks @phortun 😁

Hello Nature Lovers!

Spotted this beauty at the side of the street while I was jogging earlier. Fresh and still hot😆 I love the pattern of the plant so I decided to take a snap. Appreciating beauty of nature💚💚

Location: Cavite, Philippines.

My entry for Beauty of Nature with @phortun Round 121.

Hey there, that´s a very nice close up, thank you :) Can you just add the location please?

Done editing, thank you!

Hello @phortun and to the Amazing Nature Community. Happy Tuesday!

Here's my entry;

Here's a photo of a flower (looks like a flower bouquet) that I captured this morning as we went home from school. I was fascinated by its beauty so I stop and capture it then saved in my gallery.

📷 Location: Lanao del Sur, Philippines

Hey, welcome to the challenge :) This is a great entry, thanks. Can you just add the location please?

Done editing, thank you. :)

Good day, Lovely Nature Community. I hope everything is going well for you.

I took this photo of the sun this morning, just before the school bell rang to indicate the start of the school day. It appears to be a gigantic ball of fire, indicating that it will be a sweltering day, which it was. It was lovely, though, because it was so enormous, round, and dazzling! It reminds me of Goku from Dragon Ball Z and his Fireball. Kamehameha!!!!!😅😂

Thank you @phortun for initiating this Beauty of Nature Challenge Contest and this is going to be my entry for Round 121.

😊😍

https://peakd.com/hive-147010/@baluvana-galia/appreciate-beauty-of-nature

Hey there, welcome to the challenge :) This is your first time so let me explain how it works here... First of all, you don´t need to create a separate post for your entry, you just upload the photo (one photo) here in the comment section and tell us something about it. The only two things (facts) that I requite is where and when the photo was taken, to be sure that it´s not older than 7 days ;) So please pick one picture from that post and make it an entry. Thank you!

You are very kind, thanks for explanation! Sounds even more simple :)
Okay, let it be the first one. Kyiv, 2 days ago :)

That´s an amazing close up, thank you ;)

Proud to be amongst the winners, thanks!😌

Proud to have contributors like you, thanks! :)

The second and fourth photo are amazing.

Thanks for checking them out :)

It's a very nice event :) It looks perfect in the shared pictures. Greetings from Czech Republic

Thanks man :) Greetings from the Czech Republic? You are in the Czech Republic now?

You're welcome. No, I'm in Turkey. I sent you greetings there, but I think it was misunderstood because I used translate :)

I see :) You said "from" instead of "to" ;) But no problem, I still appreciate it :)

Thank you very much for your understanding. Because I don't speak English, there can be such problems :)

looks very natural, all those pictures are really very beautiful.

Thanks for taking the time to check them out :)

You're welcome 😊

Nice entries for round 121 all are amazing but @onlavu and @deepresearch entry stand out for me.
