Hi there my Hivean friends and followers!
Welcome to the 68th round of my special weekly photo challenge known as Appreciate Beauty of Nature with @phortun :)
I know a lot of photo contests with nature as the main theme were/are/will be hosted by various people on the Hive blockchain but I wanted to come up with something more than just another photo contest where participants would submit their best natural photos. Therefore, I decided to go for quite an unusual concept that I am going to introduce in the following lines.
The aim of the Appreciate Beauty of Nature with @phortun photo challenge is not to make you dig up your photo archives and submit the best pictures of nature that you have ever taken. Instead, I want you guys to go out and appreciate the beauty of our nature right now.
The internet (and the Hive blockchain as well) is flooded with picture perfect shots of landscapes, mountains, forests, beaches etc. taken years ago. But this is not what I want to see in this challenge. I want to see shots that may not be necessarily stunning but they must be fresh, proving that you have just physically spent some time outdoors in the fresh air. But remember that nature comes in many forms. It doesn´t have to be a pristine jungle or a deep remote forest. An urban park, a botanical garden, a little grove on the outskirts of your town - pretty much any place with some trees, plants, rocks, bodies of water or any other natural features would be just as fine ;)
Obviously, there is no way for me to verify whether the photo that you submit in the challenge is really fresh or if it was even taken by you so I am relying on your honesty guys. The prizes for the winners (as described below) are more symbolical than overly motivating so I don´t expect too much fraudulent behavior in this challenge anyway.
I want to keep the rules of this challenge as simple and benevolent as possible so let´s agree on just this:
Only one entry (photo) per person per round.
The photo must be yours and not older than one week.
Add a few words about the photo, at least where and when you took it.
You can start submitting your entries to this round in the comment section below from now until the next round.
Prior to publishing the next round post, I will pick 3 winners, give my full upvote on their entries and feature them in the next round of the challenge. As long as the response is not too overwhelming, I will also try to give some smaller upvotes on all of the other entries to reward all participants.
I might change the concept and/or the rules of the photo challenge later on, depending on how things go. I usually host the challenge on Thursday but when needed for some reason, I can host it on some other day so better check my blog regularly not to miss out on it ;)
To keep up with you guys, I submit my own fresh natural photo to every round´s post too :) Here is my contribution to start out this round:
It´s still not as warm as it should be here in Central Europe by the beginning of June but the days are definitely sunnier at least. It took much longer than usually but all the vegetation is now in full bloom again. This is just a random simple shot that I took on a little meadow near the Wisla River here in Krakow, Poland while roaming around yesterday. I don´t know what species the yellow flower is but I liked how it contrasted with the lush green trees and blue sky in the background.
In the last round, we had 8 participants. After some thorough consideration, I decided to pick these 3 winners:

Another week, another trip along Ślepotka stream in Katowice, Poland. Picture taken two days ago.

Thanks @phortun and very greenery and cool of the Wisla River you took. Superb snap! I had another well-spent weekend in nature with some wild friends and bro @dodovietnam (I tag him here as he took many great photos 😛). I just came back yesterday and now put my entry here, hehee. We spent the weekend camping and exploring the stream in Hoa Bac, Vietnam (a mountainous commune 35km away from the Da Nang City in the Northwest). Time spent in nature is well-spent ♥️

Just one of the beautiful natural pathways that I jog along most morning along the Byron Bay, Australia coastline, I thought of taking this photo this morning just to show you how tranquil and peaceful it is to jog along this old pathway that hardly anyone else does because it's a little out of the way from the normal jogging path but I love having it all to myself 😊
Congratulations guys! It was my pleasure to give you 100% upvotes on your entries :)
I am looking forward to what you will come up with in this round.
Have fun and appreciate the beauty of nature!
I post this series in the Amazing Nature community, a great community for all nature lovers. Feel free to check it out ;)
Hello friend @portum this is my entry.
This photo I took exactly 3 days ago, when I was visiting my favorite place to meditate, breathe fresh air and connect with the beauty of creation, which is a beach called "Playa Mansa" that lives up to its name because it is a beach with very calm waves, but very beautiful, where you can see beautiful sunsets and is located in the coastal town of "Lecherias", in the state of Anzoátegui, Venezuela.
Hey, good to see you here again :) Beautiful scenery, thank you!
It is also a pleasure for me, friend @phortun!!
Hallo @phortun,
I love yellow flowers, thank you for sharing ⭐
Due to the hottest temperature of the year (daytime feels like 40 degrees celsius) in my city, everyone has to escape from the sun and find some cool places to dive in. As usual, my friend and I went to a stream outside of Danang. On the way to Fairy Stream, we passed this stunning Que Hiep Lake. It's not a big lake that we have in Vietnam, but definitely worth stop for swimming and even camping here. There are flat and shady corners on the side which are perfect for a getaway.
Nice! Did you swim in there too? :)
haha, I wish I could swim without thinking that I'm sinking😅
Haha, really? :D Is it common that people in Vietnam cannot swim? I know there are some countries where most people actually cannot swim.
Mostly yes for ladies as we don't get training since we were children properly. Nowadays more and more girls know how to swim, except me, just able to float 😅
You asked fresh, you got it 🙂:
Nice one, thanks, but can you tell us a bit more about the photo? At least where (location) and when you took it please ;)
Absolutely, sorry if I broke any rules unintentionally.
This one is taken at the swimming bay of Pountazeza. There was a lot of activity around this area even from the prehistoric ages and I guess the picture answers why. It was taken today hence the "fresh" I initially mentioned.
No problem ;) Thanks for adding the info.
This is my entry
Sunset at Playa Mansa-Lechería. Venezuela. We can connect with nature and enjoy it in any space, in any city or country where we are. We can enjoy it and celebrate life or enjoy watching the sunset. Nature is life-giving, it is magical, it is the pure essence of the Creator. It is a living being that we must take care of and thank for sustaining life here on this planet. Everything we use and eat comes from nature.
I took this photo 3 days ago, while enjoying this beautiful sunset.
Hi Mirla, thank you for this great entry. Looks like you and @benavides54 were on the same spot that evening :)
Hola, buen día @phortun, estas en lo cierto amigo. En realidad coincidimos ese día en la playa. Ella es una gran amiga mía.
Something different. Two rivers merging. Rawa river (on the right) feeds Brynica river on the left. Taken 3 days ago in Sosnowiec, southern Poland.
Interesting spot, thanks for your entry :)
This was taken today morning, when i went for a morning walk. Location : Chekuthanmukku,Kerala
Beautiful aerial shot, thanks :)
Hi @phortun

I already took it today, while i was sailing sup boat in Tam Giang Lagoon Hue,near my house.
I hope you like it.
Have a great day ❤️😎
Wow, very interesting place. Thanks for your contribution to the challenge :)
Thanks @phortun, my honor to be mentioned here, and congrats to other winners as well. Great entries :))
My entry this round, the sunset on the River taken near my area while I was riding a bike 🚴 🚵 on Tue :) It's summer ☀️ and hot 🔥 season but glad we can watch clear sky 🌈 ocean and stunning sunset 🎴 every day :)
Wow, that´s amazing! Looks actualy more like a huge lake than river :) By your area, you mean Danang?
Oh yes @phortun, Da Nang Viet Nam I seem to stay here until the pandemic is over 😃. I believe it connects with the long and large Han river here so same as you said it looks like the big lake :)
Hope you having a great weekend :))
Židovský hřbitov v Třebíči se nachází v Týnském údolí. Spolu se židovskou čtvrtí a bazilikou sv. Prokopa je zapsán na listinu architektonického dědictví Unesco. Při včerejší návštěvě tam panoval klid a mír.
Jewish cemetery in Trebic, CZ is a monument belonging into the list of cultural heritage UNESCO together with Jewish quarter and gothic Basilica of St. Prokop. During yesterday's visit there was quiet and peace.
Tak hřbitov jsme tu ještě neměli :) Zajímavý snímek, díky.
There is no better way then starting your day with a good surf on the Bay, I snapped this shot this morning on my routine jog along the coastline of Byron Bay. The morning was awaking to another cool but sunny day in Byron Bay but whether it is cool, raining or hot you will always see these keen Byron Bay surfers out there battling them waves in just in there blood to challenge nature.
Wow, what an epic way to start the day :) Great entry, thanks man!
Thank you @phortun have a great day 👍
Buen dia realmente todas los fotos son muy bonitas, saludos desde Venezuela
