I woke up yesterday to a pinkish red sky peeking out from the top of the trees.
Seeing the colorful morning sky, the old saying, “Red sky in the morning, sailors take warning” goes through my head. Not to worry as the fishing boats, in this region, have been safely stored away until next spring.
On the other side of the saying, “Red sky at night means sailors’ delight.”
As the morning went on the red sky disappeared and only the blue of the sky remained.
Even though it is the winter season there is no snow on the ground. Most of us of the North like to see snow on the ground over the Christmas season. Snow makes all the Christmas lights sparkle with magic.
A little fluffy cloud, tailed by another one, appeared to break up the blue sky.
The sun debates whether to show his face.
By the time the sun decided to make an appearance, a light dusting of snow had fallen.
Nature is truly amazing as she makes changes in the sky and the weather throughout the day.

I woke up to one of the most brilliant red skies I have ever seen on Tuesday and before the next sunrise on Wednesday we had a foot of fresh snow on the ground. I'm a believer! 😀

I slept in today and missed the sunrise, but I'll bet it was red because we are getting another snowstorm!
What a beautiful color the sky has taken, those are the things that I love about nature, it is always surprising us.

We can't complain, for tomorrow they predict sunshine and then it should snow again till the weekend or better said till next year 😉
In the past years we didn't have much snow until February or March, so it's a nice surprise to have a lot of that white stuff in December 😄
Hopefully you will get some snow too, because the winter looks so much better in white.

You can never tell here if we will have tons of snow or a winter without much. Snow does make the winter look better. The people who run the ski slopes are complaining about no snow yet.

if our ski areas have no snow they make snow ;) We have had years where there has been only a white band of snow where they were skiing and left and right was grass.

It's so fascinating to watch the course of a day and how nature plays. What a lovely progression! And a beautiful dusting of snow. We've got some snow out here in BC, too. A little bit more than that but not too much. Even when the days are short and the sun barely crests over the mountain, it's such a gift to live in a place where I'm surrounded by nature. So glad I saw your post!
