Wow love your fishing posts recently I have had issues with eating fish cause of the blackened meat due to over a month refrigiration would love to catch a fresh fish and either grill or fry it to eat it fresh but Now I can't cause winters are over and the heat is too much which is an effect I have after eating a fish.

That's too bad a freezer would make things more convenient if you have one. I encase my fish in a large bag filled with water. It stays good for a very long time.
The fish that I eat are called "Silver" and they are cooked not by me but by the shop keeper which costs 2 dollars for 1 kg. I love the fried fish taste but my only issue is the blackened part of the meat. The shop keeper keeps these fish in a freezer.
