Simplicity

in WE ARE MOVING3 years ago

I took my macro lens with me to the Desert Botanical Garden on Wednesday at sunrise. I am so excited to share with you these very beautiful shots of nature at it's finest!

It looks like there is a spot light on this flower. It was very plain as I was walking by. I got down close and it really brought out all it's beauty!

Here is another flower that would definitely go unnoticed if you didn't get up close and see it among all the other ones on the tree. I have walked by this tree numerous times and had never noticed the flowers.

I think that is the beauty of shooting with macro. You look closer. You see things you wouldn't see if you were looking at the whole scene.

Agave

Here is one of my favorite agaves. It is called Queen Victoria Agave.

You can see all the leaves and it has such a beautiful pattern.

Now see the beauty of it up close. I also like that you see the imperfections and that is what makes it beautiful and unique. I love the notion of Wabi Sabi.

Of course, since Chihuly is in the garden for the spring, so I got some great close up pictures the glass too.

There is so much to see when you get close. You can see it in plants, art, and most importantly in people.

Great shots!
Yes, the beauty of shooting with a macro lens is that you begin to notice the details and wonder how many beautiful and interesting things can be found literally within a radius of several meters. This amazes me!

So very true this was all in just a few feet from each other!

These are so cool

Thanks so much Wes.

I love the first shot: beautiful light and color. The thorn in the front leaf in the sixth photo looks like something I wouldn't like to mess with. From there, my eye moved into the background leaf, following the fine thread some spider must have left behind. The cabbage-like Queen Victoria is beautiful too. The shadows, the veins, the irregular edges.
Simplicity is in some of the most beautiful things, yes.Oh, Chihuly! I instantly thought of the quest you hosted in #photogames. This sculpture is gorgeous.

Thanks for your nice comment Elisa.

Very nice macros. That purple flower does seem to stand out beautifully.
