My parents told me when I was a kid that this flower blooms once a month on a full moon day. Even though this is not 100% accurate, this flower blooms around on a full moon day each month. The full moon day is supposed to be on Saturday, but today, Wednesday I was able to see the bush full of flowers.
If you are seeing this for the first time, this flower is called Pigeon Orchid, which is also an orchid. It grows on trees consuming less soil as same as other orchids. But the best thing, this flower has an extremely attractive fragrance that is strong enough to cover a good area.
The fragrance is a little bit similar to Jasmine, but not exactly the same.
I prefer natural fragrances a lot. Mostly I keep natural flowers with pleasant fragrance on my working table or in the living area. This time also I decided to replace the artificial flower bouquet inside the living area with a small bouquet of Pigeon Orchid.
I separated some flowers with stems and tied them with some ferns. This created a charming and simple flower bouquet. Within 10 minutes after placing it in vase, it started to spread the fragrance all over the living area. It's a refreshing fragrance compared to artificial air fresheners.
