I met them in January this year while doing one of my walks on the beach.
Both the next day and the day after. They came to the beach for at least a week. One day I took the camera with the big lens and took these pictures.
Swans are known to be monogamous and live in pairs. They often stay together for life, which I find very romantic.
Even when fishing, they prefer to dive underwater at the same time. I don't know if they caught anything in the cold sea water, but they certainly seemed consistent in their actions.
As I had the opportunity to mention in another of my publications - Burgas is bordered by the sea and three lakes, which makes the environment ideal for these birds.
The route "Via Pontica" passes over the city. This is second largest bird migration route, through the western part of the Black Sea Biogeographic Region.
If you are interested, you can take a look also at my post about flamingos in the city.
I only managed to see them in flight once, but unfortunately I delayed removing the phone or camera. However, you have to believe me that they look magnificent in the sky.
