Hola Hivers, amantes de las puntadas, hoy vengo a contarles la historia de Leila y el turorial de estos dos trajes que consisten en una braga o jumpsuit y una falda con top floreado de encaje. Los materiales son tela satinada, tela drill y jean, tijeras, cierre mágico, hilos, agujas, maquina de coser y alfileres.
Hello Hivers, stitch lovers, today I come to tell you the story of Leila and the turorial of these two outfits consisting of a jumpsuit and a skirt with a floral lace top. The materials are satin fabric, drill fabric and jean, scissors, magic zipper, threads, needles, sewing machine and pins.
Leila es la primera muñeca con rostro más humanizado que hice, la cual a la primera no me gustó y dejé de lado, para luego hacer el rostro de la Frida que encuentran más abajo en mi blog. Sin embargo, decido sacar a la luz a Leila, como muestra de lo importante de insistir y persistir, recordando que la práctica es todo. Yo pretendía hacerme a mí y resultó una versión bastante alejado, pero hoy la veo y la amo. Porque ella me dió la pauta para mejorar inmediatamente las facciones de mis muñecas de tela.
Leila is the first doll with a more humanized face that I made, which at first I didn't like and left aside, and then I made the face of Frida that you can see below in my blog. However, I decided to bring Leila to light, as a sign of how important it is to insist and persist, remembering that practice is everything. I intended to become me and it turned out to be a far away version, but today I see her and I love her. Because she gave me the guideline to immediately improve the features of my fabric dolls.
Fue tanto mi desencanto al principio que Leila es la única hasta el momento que no lleva un corazón pintado, pero estoy pendiente de hacerle, porque ahora es mi modelo principal. Con ella arme este par de outfits para unas muñecas que ya están con sus dueñas. Para la braga, usé el modelo del conejo de pascua, pero le añadí un bolsillo principal. Luego de cortar todas las piezas, uní primero desde la cintura por todo el borde, doblando los ruedos para hacer el dobladillo de una vez.
I was so disappointed at the beginning that Leila is the only one so far that does not have a painted heart, but I'm still waiting to make her, because now she is my main model. With her I put together this pair of outfits for some dolls that are already with their owners. For the panty, I used the Easter bunny pattern, but I added a main pocket. After cutting all the pieces, I first joined from the waist all the way around the edge, folding the hems to make them all at once.
A mano hice puntadas casi invisibles como ven en las imágenes. Después, cosí el bolsillo con una costura recta simple, de la misma forma hice los tirantes, primero pasando una doble costura en ellos y luego los uní a la pieza principal, de lado a lado cada uno. Finalmente le di la vuelta y planche lo suficiente para darle un mejor acabado.
By hand I made almost invisible stitches as you can see in the pictures. Then, I sewed the pocket with a simple straight seam, in the same way I made the straps, first passing a double seam on them and then I joined them to the main piece, side to side each one. Finally I turned it over and ironed just enough to give it a better finish.
Para la falda corté dos veces el tamaño de la cintura de Leila, hice dobladillos en la parte superior e inferior, dejando como canal bastante ancho como para atravesar una elástica y cerrar toda la pieza con una costura semejante a la overlock. Quedando la falda a la medida estándar de las muñecas, gracias a Leila.
For the skirt I cut twice the size of Leila's waist, hemmed the top and bottom, leaving a wide enough channel for an elastic to go through, and closed the whole piece with a seam similar to an overlock seam. Thanks to Leila, the skirt is now the standard size of the wrists.
Para el top usé un rectángulo, el cual doblé a la mitad, plache y cosí, para darle la vuelta luego, y así con una costura simple le cosí la otra tela floreada por encima, a esta pieza no la cerré, por eso usé cierre mágico los cuales cosi, de esta forma el topa se abre y cierra quedando a la medida.
For the top I used a rectangle, which I folded in half, pleated and sewed, to turn it over later, and so with a simple seam I sewed the other flowered fabric on top, I did not close this piece, so I used a magic zipper which I sewed, in this way the top opens and closes to fit.
Y, listo hivers, así es como Leila ahora es la protagonista de mi crecimiento como artista que hace muñecas de tela. No dejen nunca de practicar lo que les apasiona, lo que luce como fracaso o frustración más adelante puedes verlo como cariño y parte de tu avance. Hola @afrikablr, debo decir que yo si veo un poco de parecido entre tú y la muñeca. Me encantan sus ojos y los lentes, la hacer tener una personalidad única. Pero te entiendo, a veces solemos ser quisquillosas o perfeccionistas con nuestras creaciones. La muñeca y ambos outfits son muy lindos, te felicito.
