Hello hivers, lovers of sewing, threads and needles, today I bring you a tutorial with a personal and intimate experience. I have been immersed for a long time in studying my astral chart, the relationship of body, mind and soul with all that. I take it as an awakening of consciousness because it has been like having a manual to guide myself, as a teacher says: the energy is available and we choose how to use it.
Since I started making fabric dolls I had planned to make one similar to me, the first attempt was unsuccessful due to painting mistakes and I didn't really take the time to prepare to assemble it, it was a lot of improvisation on my part, then the idea of personalizing myself in a fabric doll was put on hold because thinking about marketing I started with other characters that I have already shown you: Frida, the Fairy, Merlina and mythical figures.
When I decided to make a witch, I had everything in mind: black suit, long dark hair, the usual. However, I began to fill in several bodies in series and paint the faces, I remember that in those days the full moon was coming, it was time to make a list of intentions to fulfill for the coming months, that's how in the painting game and thinking about the list I painted this face to the cloth doll.
Then the days passed, I was very busy at work paying the bills, I felt very tired, I apologized to the doll for not finishing it, but I had the courage to do her hair, seeing that her features were light and I didn't want such a strong contrast I went with the flow and combined her hair with a brown yarn, I knew that dressing her in black was not an option although I tried.

It is here where I become aware of Selene, the goddess of the moon and I decide to honor mine with this fabric doll, I took the time to make a white blouse, for which I cut pieces, faced them and sewed along the edges leaving the hem unclosed.
I took the time to make a white blouse, for which I cut pieces, faced them and sewed along the edges leaving the hem unsewn, turned it inside out and joined the shoulders.
As it is in honor of my Selene, my moon in Leo, it was inevitable the gold in her skirt, so I cut a rectangle, folded it and I ruined it at the top edge with a loose seam, then I joined it with the shirt and so I closed the back part of the dress, the cardigan is one that I had from my country when I started sewing in miniature.

Then I made the accessories, the hair band and the necklace in the same color of the skirt, I had to decide if I wanted to make her some sandals, but the truth is that I like to be barefoot, I feel that way I affirm myself with the earth, so I left her like that, with bare feet, so that the energy flows in perfect energy in and out.
And, that is how I ended up with Selene, the personification of my moon in Leo, my first intentional doll, and just in this lunar transit, where it is time to sow in favor of creativity, expression and the relationship we have with ourselves. If you feel astral curiosity go for it, if you believe in the energies and you are in the art world, no doubt they are related, I invite you to take a walk to explore all that to where your intuition takes you.
Thanks hivers for the company and support, the photos are made with my tl redmi for personal record, edited in Canva.
